Kochava provides a unified platform with solutions for mobile advertising and marketing technology clients, serving the world’s top brands and apps; We are the industry standard for secure, real-time data solutions. We help people-based marketers establish identity, define and activate audiences, and measure and optimize their marketing across connected devices.
We enable the visibility into and management of billions of data points, millions of users, and hundreds of millions of dollars in lifetime value (LTV) and promotional ad spend. Our Unified Audience Platform empowers our customers to see and manage their data and unleash the power of their connected audiences; Globally, Kochava is trusted by the largest brands across a wide spectrum of verticals, including mobile gaming, commerce, news and media, to perform high-end mobile analytics; among our clients we have Coca Cola, Nike, ViacomCBS, McDonald’s, Yelp, BBC Worldwide, Microsoft, and many more.
The mobile user tracking and attribution market is demanding, dynamic, fun, and provides almost unlimited opportunities for personal and professional growth; every day we handle more than one million of events per minute, and we have to do it in a handful of milliseconds, because each millisecond counts, and even only one more means loosing potential customers.
We are growing fast as we add new clients and services and we are looking to add talented, thoughtful, adaptable, dedicated and innovative people who will strengthen our core team; one year ago we opened an office in Barcelona, Spain and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to function as a central member of the international development team.
We are looking for dedicated team players who are comfortable with self-direction, and inspired by the thrill of building creative solutions to stringent problems; several of our programmers are self-taught, a degree is not a necessity, but a love for programming, accountability, curiosity, ownership, creativity and ability to collaborate in a team are.
We focus on hiring the best people, we pride ourselves on the autonomy we offer to our employees and we are committed to building a workforce that can grow with the company. Kochava is an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.
We are a global organization and we recognize that our employees represent a large variety of cultures, ethnicities, beliefs and languages. This wealth of diversity is what makes us more innovative, creative, sensitive and committed to society.
We believe that we all have the right to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace regardless of our race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, sex, sexual orientation, gender, circumstances of pregnancy or parental leave, age, disability or marital status.
Kochava began in 2011 when a team of mobile and gaming professionals saw the need to better understand the feedback loop of user acquisition, engagement, and LTV for mobile applications. Through the process of creating apps for customers from a wide range of industries, we were repeatedly asked if we could shed some light on what media advertising efforts were converting and the effectiveness of their mobile ad spend by partner. Realizing a solution to these questions wasn’t readily available, we started designing and building a mobile measurement platform that would become Kochava.
Our HQ Location
We live and work in the wonderful ski resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. Kochava has sales and agency representation in major markets worldwide, but we choose to grow our development and engineering infrastructure around Sandpoint, as it allows us to stay focused on cutting code while taking advantage of the community and quality of life the town offers to our team.
Kochava is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion.

If you’re invited to interview and you have any immediate time pressures, please let us know, as we’ll always do our best to speed things up for you 😊
Our backend engineers have a variety of different backgrounds
We have several non-graduates; only some of us studied Computer Science; one of the team has a degree in Marketing; some of us have worked in huge companies; some have only ever worked in startups; others are former consultants. As long as you enjoy learning new things, we’d love to talk to you.
We encourage an open and transparent working environment
You can get involved in any aspect of the business you are interested in and, following Stripe’s example, all emails in the company are visible in an email archive. We regularly run hackathons in which people build things on our third party API and we contribute to open source software as much as possible. Monzo works in project-based sprints in small, interdisciplinary teams
We have around 150 engineers out of roughly 800 people in total - and we have big ambitions. There are many interesting challenges ahead, and we’re happy for people to move between teams or to specialise, whatever you prefer. As an engineer here you’d be able to work directly with anyone across the company, and we run regular knowledge-sharing sessions so you’ll learn heaps about everything from how banks work to effective communication.
At Monzo you will get to work with a lot of exciting new technology.
We rely heavily on the following tools and technologies:
Cassandra for most persistent data storage
Kafka for our asynchronous message queue
Envoy Proxy for RPC
AWS for most of our infrastructure
React for internal web dashboards
We also have two physical datacenter sites with actual cables to connect to various third parties
You should apply if:
the work we’re doing sounds exciting!
you want to be involved in building a product that you (andeveryone you know) use every day
you’re keen to learn more about new technologies and the arcane inner workings of the financial industry
you’re comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity
you’re interested in distributed systems and writing resilient software
you have some experience with strongly-typed languages (Go,Java, C, Scala etc.).
At the moment, the following teams are looking for backend engineers:
Product The product backend team work primarily on creating backend services and APIs for our in-app user-facing features. They work closely with our mobile engineers and designers to create a delightful user experience, and to drive growth and retention. Projects that Product backend engineers have worked on recently include Summary (giving people insight into their finances to empower them to spend sensibly) and the Current Account Switch Service (all the hard work to allow users to move to Monzo quickly and easily).
Lending The Lending team works on making borrowing money simple, fair and transparent. They’ve already shipped and scaled overdrafts to hundreds of thousands of Monzo customers and they’ve made it easy to take out a loan without the unfair fees or confusing pricing that you find elsewhere. They work on everything from the way borrowing works in the app, right down to how they move and account for money that our customers borrow. One of the most interesting problems they face is deciding how much to lend and to whom. The team believes that they can make access to credit fairer and more transparent.
We can help you relocate to London, we can sponsor visas, and we’re open to remote working (as long as you can spend around 20% of your time in London).
We offer competitive salaries based on skills and experience, which could be anywhere between £40,000 - £100,000 per year.
We care deeply about inclusive working practices and diverse teams. If you’d prefer to work part-time or as a job-share, we’ll facilitate this wherever we can - whether to help you meet other commitments or to help you strike a great work-life balance.
We’re continually hiring for Backend Engineers! Our interview process typically consists of an initial phone screen, a take-home code task, and a half-day on-site interview. We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions, and we won’t make you code on a whiteboard
$10k - $20k
We’re looking for a Mid to Senior developer/DevOps (who knows Go preferably but not mandatory, it can be learned on the job). Join us at Apperto (apperto.co), where we connect small to medium communities (less than 500k inhabitants) using cutting edge technologies. Many features, multiple communities, a single app.
We are a small company that just got funded and we want to expand our engineering team. Currently we have 9 people working full time but only 2 in engineering, so we want you to be the third! You’ll be working side by side with founders and first employees, learning all about our system, planning and executing improvements. On the backend we have microservices (all of them written in Go) running on Kubernetes and communicated using gRPC. On the frontend we have a mobile app written in Flutter that communicates with the backend using gRPC.
E-mail me for more details!

We’re changing the way people think about transportation. Not that long ago we were just an app to request premium black cars in a few metropolitan areas. Now we’re a part of the logistical fabric of more than 600 cities around the world. Whether it’s a ride, a sandwich, or a package, we use technology to give people what they want, when they want it.
For the people who drive with Uber, our app represents a flexible new way to earn money. For cities, we help strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer.
And that’s just what we’re doing today. We’re thinking about the future, too. With teams working on new modalities, self-driving cars and even urban air transportation, we’re in for the long haul. We’re reimagining how people and things move from one place to the next.
As part of the Go team you’ll join a group of language experts solely focused on improving the quality, performance and stability of Go code across the company and the broader open-source community. You’ll work with some of the most talented, high-velocity engineering teams and ensure that the most pressing development problems are solved, and the solutions are reusable for engineers everywhere in the organization. The code you build and maintain will be at the heart of critical systems across Uber, from infrastructure to user-facing products and services. You’ll empower a large and quickly-growing engineering organization to do its best work and deliver high-quality products quickly. You’ll ensure that moving fast doesn’t mean sacrificing stability, quality, performance or maintainability. And along the way, you’ll get to shape the very future of engineering at Uber.
We need passionate, skilled developers who can think at both the code and organizational levels, engineers who care deeply about building systems and libraries the right way, who are eager to take on ownership of business-critical code, and who are opinionated and uncompromising in their pursuit of technical excellence.
Experience working on distributed software projects in a large organization.
Experience leading, contributing to, or maintaining open-source projects.
Experience as a technology-specific speaker or evangelist.
