Working remotely: The Third Light development team embraced remote working a few years ago and now has workers in more than one country. We strive to provide a friendly, fun, supportive remote-working culture and we refine our processes to make remoting easier. We will welcome your ideas and contributions. We provide computing equipment and cover reasonable costs incurred from running a home office.
Normally, as a new starter, you'd come to the office for a few weeks to get to know each other. Due to Coronavirus you will no-doubt join us remotely, at least temporarily, which will bring interesting challenges in how best to introduce you to, and integrate you into, the development team—how to train you, how to help familiarise yourself with our systems and ways of working. We see this as an interesting challenge so we’re working it out at the moment. We are looking for a talented Go Developer with full stack experience to help us scope, build, and maintain our Developer Portal. We’d love you to have experience with CMS frameworks, have a working understanding and practical experience with TDD, and be a very competent Golang developer. A) APIs FOR DEVELOPERS, WORLDWIDE:
You will work on our REST API product offering: specification, development, test, bug fixing, deployments, customer support and documentation
You will help with developer outreach and tech support
You will contribute working code and prototypes to Fastah’s open-source repositories to demonstrate Fastah APIs to a global developer audience.
You will monitor of our infrastructure, data pipelines, software upgrades, outages debugging and operational security.

B) DATA PROCESSING, VISUALIZATION, MODELING
We collect crowd-sourced data on the world's mobile 4G LTE networks, so need your help with the following activities.
Data processing: You will know how to cleanse data using combination of Go, Python and R using Unix tools, scripts, Jupyter.
Databases: You will be experienced with data-stores and querying them, preferable with geo-spatial capabilities such as Elasticsearch, Postgres/PostGIS
Query design, tuning and maintenance will be required to support our ever-evolving API requirements
You will need to map and visualize data sets using Mapbox GL JS, Google Maps JavaScript API, Kibana or similar exploration tools
You will be able to build static websites using generators such as Hugo or Jekyll
C) MOBILE DEVELOPMENT ON ANDROID
Our Android app helps drivers on on-demand transportation apps to stay online more reliably using commercial 4G LTE networks. Additionally we publish an Android SDK for developers.
You will improve core UI features such as Activities, Views layouts, and Material Design-compliant UI elements with an eye on aesthetics as well as performance.
Understanding of architecture concept is required: Service, lifecycles, background execution, networking, location services, aand persistence (via Room/SQLlite)
A strong plus is experience with mapping and markers via Google Maps Android SDK or Mapbox Android SDK
Improving and maintaining Fastah’s Android SDKs with public APIs via good documentation, release management and documentation
D) DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE:
Engaging with developer communities online via Stack Overflow, Fastah’s online discussion site, Hacker News etc.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help build Bubbly. Bubbly is a Release Readiness platform currently in development. We are on a mission to help lean software teams continuously release software with confidence and visibility.
About Bubbly:
The initial idea for Bubbly was planted a few years back. DevOps consultants working at Verifa continually received requests from customers for a tool to give them visibility across all their data and pipelines. So we decided to build one! In Summer 2020 with help from Business Finland funding, we built up a team and recently established a new company, Valocode Oy, to focus on Bubbly’s development.
At its core, Bubbly is a very lightweight data platform with data pipelines developed in HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language). Bubbly aggregates, queries and extracts data from multiple tools in the release process into a single dashboard, providing software teams with visibility and confidence in their release quality. Thus far we have built the core engine and UI, and are working towards releasing Bubbly as a SaaS product later this year. The team are big fans of open source, and Bubbly was recently released in open source public beta. Right now, we are self-funded with plans to secure pre-seed investment this year.
We are a small dedicated team consisting of both technical knowhow and business acumen, and we are currently looking for two more team members - Frontend Developer and Senior Backend Developer. So there is plenty of room to take a leading role in developing a brand new product. And as we are an early stage startup, there is the possibility to have ownership ín the company.
About the role:
You will have a crucial role in developing the Bubbly backend which is entirely written in Golang. We are using NATS and a service-oriented architecture (not quite microservice) where the services communicate via NATS message queues. Postgres is the primary database right now, but we have plans for immutable, append-only databases in the future for more compliance-related activities. As the team was founded from a DevOps company, Verifa, we enjoy our DevOps practices and would hope you will enjoy it also.

Okta's Developer Experience team is looking for an experienced engineer with a love for the Go language, and a desire to work on open source SDKs that will delight our developer community. In this role you will have influence over our Go community strategy, which has a large base of developers working in the Dev Ops arena. Developers building on Okta want tools, written in Go, to facilitate their roll out of applications that leverage Okta as the underlying identity platform.
We currently offer a Go Management SDK, and a Terraform provider. In this role you will have ownership over these SDKs, as well as future SDKs that we create.
Okta's identity platform allows developers at companies of all sizes to integrate modern authentication features and workflows into their own applications.
