Saar aan Huis is a customer-oriented, private (informal) care organization that brings together the demand for support for the elderly at home with the range of service providers. The organization selects “Saars” with the utmost care and only works with motivated people who want to help the elderly with their daily activities with love and respect. This for an appropriate fee. The “Saars” are mainly resident in the work area of clients, have a care history behind them and want to be useful on a part-time basis.
Saar aan Huis is a franchise organization that started in the summer of 2013 and currently has 25 branches in the Netherlands. As an innovative healthcare organization for the elderly in particular, we have the ambition to grow further. We are therefore looking for a candidate who can raise our technical platform at the head office. You will be ultimately responsible for the development and management of the tech stack and, if proven suitable, can participate in the management of the company in the (short) term.
You are responsible for all technology used within Saar aan Huis. This technology is largely supplied by third parties and therefore vendor management and maintaining the technological blueprint are important. Together with the director you determine whether new applications need to be built internally or by third parties. Help Saar aan Huis to further transform into a “full-stack company”.
· Take the lead in the design, construction and management of new applications
· Affinity with user experience, design & service, design thinking
· Shaping and expanding data strategy
· Ensure 100% availability of existing systems
· Translate new requirements into changes to the system
· Forming the 2nd line support at the help desk
· Monitoring the quality with regard to security & usability
· The technical improvement and maintenance of the Saar aan Huis intranet

Our platform ties together dozens of data sources, any one of which could be the critical piece of the puzzle a decision-maker needs. Your job will be to thread new sources through our platform, from ingestion through parsing, ETL, ML/AI models, and visualization. Textile is a lab dedicated to building and exploring new technology to help decentralize consumer applications. Our mission is to radically change the way people control their data with technology — we believe that the world’s most valuable future technology will be built on a new model where individuals have complete agency over the data they create.
We have become known for creating an early IPFS-based photo-sharing application, Textile Photos. More recently we have built a following around our suite of freely available tools to build apps more generally on IPFS. The suite of tools includes a decentralized database, real-time app data, communication tools, remote backup and recovery, identity tools, and encryption tools available over APIs and in cross-platform SDKs. Our technology already powers a diversity of applications from collaborative writing apps to patient-doctor chat apps.

As a Senior Go Engineer you will be responsible for writing and maintaining code on the Textile Go library. This role is for someone with strong coding experience. Your work will be open source. You will have ample opportunity to learn and contribute to the IPFS ecosystem. Our go-textile library is the main implementation of Textile’s wallet, decentralized database, and identity tools as well as the source of our core mobile frameworks. In this role, you will have the ability to make major contributions to and help drive the direction of Textile.
This is a remote only position. We are looking to fill this position soon.
Ideal Experience and Skills

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to form a five-strong Founding Team. Being with us from Day 1 you will participate in defining the architecture and technology stack of our next generation sports betting platform.
Together with your peers you will begin to implement some core services while we continue to grow our team to 10-15 software engineers within the first year. Going forward you will assume full responsibility for parts of our platform and/or processes and lead the respective team.
We decided to go remote-first in order to be able to hire the best talent in Europe. If you decide to join us remotely, as a member of the Founding Team we still require you to be present in Malta for the first few weeks. You further must be residing in a European timezone (between UTC-1 and UTC+3) and be able to travel to Malta at times for physical meetings and workshops.
