The Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to work on our core SaaS product. You’ll primarily be responsible for creating and updating services and endpoints, improving and expanding our deployment process and exploring the adoption of new technologies and enablers that could enhance our product.

You'll be comfortable offering your opinions on how an approach could be improved and identifying edge-cases that haven't been taken into account. You will have good understanding of architectural best practices and make recommendations on tools and technologies that could help us be more productive.

This role is right for you if you’re a mid-weight engineer looking to take more ownership, build new features and learn from a great team of experienced Go engineers.

Key Requirements

• You have a proven track record architecting and delivering projects to a high standard using a complied, typed language (e.g. Go, Java, C#, C++, Rust) You're excited by working with large, complex systems and have a solid understanding of the infrastructure required to run modern-day enterprise SaaS applications.
• You have real-world experience with SQL for at least one year
• You are passionate about code quality and have a thorough understanding of software development concepts that promote readability, maintainability, and testability
• You are comfortable working with Docker
• You are based in UK, or similar timezone (e.g. Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, Greece, Ireland etc.)
• You are comfortable and productive working remotely

Bonus points for: * DevOps skills: Docker Swarm, Pulumi, Terraform * You enjoy building high performance, scalable services using protocol buffers / gPRC
