MUST HAVES:

  • 7+ years of experience working professionally with SQL and NoSQL databases (key/value, graph, and relational databases, transactions) *years of experience is a guideline. Ultimately your work speaks for itself and can be explored in the technical challenge*
  • Profound experience with Golang or Rust;
  • Experience working with microservice architecture (JWT, orchestration vs choreography, load balancing, service discovery, REST/gRPC communication protocols);

About The Role

We are building out our founding Engineering team. Senior Full-stack Engineers have the opportunity to work across the stack, front to back. You’ll take ideas from inception to reality by rapidly building prototypes, iterating, and releasing them. In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role, adjusted for level, is between $140,000 - $190,000 in New York City. About the role

As a senior software engineer, you will work closely with the CTO, be a critical part of our core team, and have a huge influence over the direction of the company. You will lead projects and work with cross functional teammates to design and implement systems like our API, notifications service, and authentication service while focusing on scalability and performance. The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be helping to drive our product and engineering department forward, working on different parts of the Paddle ecosystem and helping our Software Sellers sell their products on a platform they trust and rely on.

Our Engineering Department is split into 8 cross functional Product teams, along with an SRE and Data team.

Our Product teams are made up of an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager and between 4 - 8 engineers (mix of backend and frontend), depending on the demands of the team.

We ingest massive amounts of data, process it, and make it available for further use as quickly as possible. As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of these systems, typically using a combination of Go, Kubernetes, and hosted Google Cloud Services for your daily tasks.

While you'll occasionally work on the APIs and data pipelines that power our user-facing systems, you'll spend most of your time building the platforms that make the API and data pipeline work possible for other teams without our direct involvement. You'll work regularly with operations and other platform teams to continually enhance the stability of our systems, and you'll also work alongside our feature and data science teams to enhance our service offerings.
