NewStore is looking for a Solution Architect to join our growing Field Service Team with a focus on both internal customer advocacy and external expertise. The position reports to the Director Professional Services. The place of work could be in Boston or remote within the US with periodic travel to headquarters and customer locations.

The successful candidate will be involved from the initial customer contact through to the planning and execution of the project involving solution partners, internal software developers and clients. You will be leading all technical aspects of customer implementations from project kickoff to complete delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to define and articulate business requirements and architect complex solutions leveraging NewStore, existing IT landscape and recommend solutions with an eye to future scalability, performance, operations and maintenance • As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for educating and guiding decisions made by solution partners and customer technical team, including leading by example when necessary • As a seasoned customer-facing professional, you will have skills to influence stakeholders and team members • You will responsible for attaining customer objectives within time and scope with maintaining the quality of the architecture

What we need from you:

• Relevant experience with several of the following subject areas of five (5) years: - eCommerce, OMS, In-Store retail and (m)POS systems and processes, - CRM, ERP and Fulfillment integrations - Technical background on implementing on client- and server-side: RESTful Web services, web technologies, mobile applications (Javascript a plus) • Proven success with delivering projects on time, in scope, and to customer business objectives • Enjoys working with customers - customer focused, experience working with a 3rd Party delivery team • Strong English language written and verbal communication skills • Flexibility in the presence of shifting situations whilst maintaining a cool and dominant posture • A strategic thinker who can anticipate potential challenges related to invisible constraints such as scalability and regional/international differences, etc. • Preferably university qualifications in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science • Travel 25%

Job Description

As a Back-End Engineer at Pink, you will work closely with the founding team to make the business processes and event casting experience come to life. You will be responsible for helping to design & maintain the server architecture upon which Pink functions. In addition, you will play a fundamental role in creating new IP around complex casting processes and cutting edge business operation algorithms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience

  • Extensive experience developing server side solutions

  • Experience developing REST API's

  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, or MySQL)

  • Experience and understanding of one or more MVC frameworks

  • Extensive experience/strong with 2 or more of the following: Golang, Ruby, Javascript, React, React Native, DevOps

  • Professional experience utilizing Git and continuous integration

  • Writes unit tests, experienced with TDD

  • Passionate about code readability, maintainability, extensibility, and modularity

Preferred Qualifications: -Experience working with key value stores

Job Description

We are looking for a sharp midlevel backend engineer who has experience but is hungry to learn more. We want you to help us design and build the next generation of high performance APIs and backend services in Go (the fastest growing language on Github). As a Midlevel Backend Engineer you’ll be an integral member of our engineering team and report to the Director of Backend Engineering.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Write high quality code that is self explanatory, tested, and meets objectives as described in functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with other backend and client (iOS and Android) engineers and participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after hours support.
  • Follow established best practices for the backend codebase.
  • Help analyze performance throughout the stack to optimize the user experience.
  • Drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.

Objectives in the first three months

  • Learn our systems and frameworks and begin implementing minor improvements
  • Own and deliver a large project start-to-finish.
  • Review and leave a comment for each backend Pull Request
  • Participate in the weekly on-call rotation and be able to handle most issues
  • Plan and estimate your own work in weekly Sprint Planning meetings
  • Go to a Golang meetup
