The role
You will be responsible for designing and building a transformation of our Helm charts for on premises installations of recommended configurations. You will also be responsible for keeping these up to date when new capabilities are added across the stack. We will also require occasional help to design and code out solutions for our Tyk Operator. You will also be expected to manage a small team, and mentor and improve mid-weight and / or junior engineers.

The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, youâll be helping to drive our product and engineering department forward, working on different parts of the Paddle ecosystem and helping our Software Sellers sell their products on a platform they trust and rely on.
Our Engineering Department is split into 8 cross functional Product teams, along with an SRE and Data team.
Our Product teams are made up of an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager and between 4 - 8 engineers (mix of backend and frontend), depending on the demands of the team.
You are empowered to use the right tech for the job and youâll have the freedom to input into what technology and tooling are used and educate the rest of your colleagues accordingly.

Who weâre looking for We are looking for a full-time backend engineer. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building event driven micro-services or service oriented architectures and has built most facets, if not all, in a twelve-factor app. Preference is for real experience (2+ years) in our primary language of Golang, but other languages are considered when able to quickly pick up new technologies. Additional experience in integrating with 3rd party systems, event-driven architecture, databases, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc) are important.
You will directly influence how and what to build, and must be comfortable collaborating on the architecture, code, product, etc as we have a strong culture of devops as well as being technically curious, thoughtful and purposeful in what we build. We value deploying frequently with well-written, maintainable, instrumented and tested code to a kubernetes cluster.
