Your role 🙋
Tackle convoluted problems and develop clean, stable solutions that scale. The ideal candidate would be someone who has a genuine passion for designing and implementing elegant software solutions. They would also be intimately familiar (and up to date) with their development ecosystem for making sound decisions when it comes to choosing the right tool or library for the job. We expect our engineers to be able to contribute across the entire product stack, as well as collectively oversee the integrity of the codebase.

In this role you’ll be: - Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code - Translating software requirements into stable, working, high-performance software - Playing a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward efficient microservices distributed architecture

Ritmo is looking for a Go Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience building web and data applications.
You will be responsible for developing robust & maintainable code using best practices and working hand in hand with the rest of the development, data, and product team.

Compliance Solutions Strategies (CSS) is a global RegTech platform delivering a set of comprehensive and highly complementary technology-enabled regulatory solutions. Our clients are large global asset managers, hedge fund managers, life insurance companies and fund administrators.
The Software Developer will initially serve in a data services role, maintaining and owning an existing Go based stack of data parsers for two in-house software products, Sentry and COE (willingness and ability to immediately work with Go is a requirement, even if the language is new to the developer). In addition to maintenance, the intermediate to long term goal will be to continue to abstract this code base away from the current platform, to leverage other CSS products (and integrate with those products) in hopes to develop an independent, data services (internal facing) platform.
Mandatory Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with Go or C#
Experience with Mongo DB
Experience with Linux (ideally Ubuntu)
Experience with Financial Services, particularly trading concepts (asset classes, pricing analysis, transaction surveillance)
Experience with multiple file format parsing – CSV, fixed width, etc.
Experience working in a DevOps environment (GCP and GitLab based)
Experience with GitHub
Comfortable working in virtual communication forum (Flowdock, Slack)
