About the role:
You will be one of five developers and maintainers of k6, a modern open-source tool for performance testing, written in Go. k6 was released publicly in early 2017 and has already received over 12,500 stars on Github and has an active community of users and contributors.
You will have a lot of influence on the project road map and will work with a high degree of autonomy, building and maintaining the tool. Your responsibilities will be to both write code, extending the functionality of k6, and maintain the code base, interface with the user community (i.e. review patches :) and potentially evangelize the tool. Your main, long-term goal will be to create the best possible tool and to get as many people as possible to use it.
You may also be involved with the k6 cloud integration, a SaaS service built on top of k6. Specifically, the parts of the cloud service written in Go, that orchestrates a distributed k6 test across 17 data centers around the world.
Due to our small teams and fast development pace, you will have a substantial and immediate impact on how the end product is architected, developed, and how the engineering team operates. Our Grafana Cloud pipeline moves millions of data points, log lines and traces per second from our customer's environments into a highly available, low-latency stack that processes and stores the data, and serves it to dashboards and alerting tools. We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to form a five-strong Founding Team. Being with us from Day 1 you will participate in defining the architecture and technology stack of our next generation sports betting platform.
Together with your peers you will begin to implement some core services while we continue to grow our team to 10-15 software engineers within the first year. Going forward you will assume full responsibility for parts of our platform and/or processes and lead the respective team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on different key features of our product. We are currently hiring Senior Software Engineers for the following teams:
Reporting – Builds a scalable reporting system that ingests millions of rows per second into our time-series databases, providing insights into cost savings, workload efficiencies, and Cast AI automation impact.
Pricing – Drives the synchronization of public and customer cloud resources, availability, and dynamic pricing across all major cloud providers. Empowers autoscaling by leveraging discounts, commitments, and cross-cluster tracking to maximize savings. Provides a reliable source of truth for node pricing, resources, components, discounts, and commitments.
Autoscaler – Automates Kubernetes node autoscaling to optimize clusters, balance workloads, remove underutilized nodes, and dynamically allocate capacity in real-time, thereby reducing cluster costs by half.
Workload Optimization (WOOP) – Automates workload resource management by dynamically adjusting resource allocations, helping developers significantly reduce costs and improve application reliability.
AI Enabler – Helps customers deploying and managing LLMs in their Kubernetes cluster and optimizes their workloads by providing cost visibility and intelligent routing for LLM requests to the most cost-effective compute resources (e.g. Grok, self-hosted LLAMA models).

What You’ll Do: The Huntress team is looking for a senior engineer who has experience writing software that interfaces with the Windows Operating System at a low level. This engineer will be responsible for developing applications that communicate from our customers’ Windows systems to our web portal to provide our threat operations team with critical threat-hunting information.
