As a Backend Engineer at Netlify, you’ll work with a smart set of team members who are very motivated to keep learning and continuing to grow each other in a supportive way. With our Observability team, your mission is to help our customers monitor and troubleshoot their apps, and evaluate their health and performance when exposed to real user traffic. About Strings

About You
We are looking for our first full-time backend engineer to join us on our mission. You'll have ownership in building new products and features while working with our founding team.
Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building event driven micro-services or service oriented architectures and has built most facets, if not all, in a "twelve-factor" app. Preference is for real experience (2+ years) in our primary language of Golang, but other languages are considered when able to quickly pick up new technologies. We’re looking for an experienced Golang developer to join us on this journey and be a part of our core early team.
Our high-level tech stack is Go, speaking gRPC between microservices and gRPC-web to our frontend which is written in Typescript and Vue. PostgreSQL, Bolt & Minio cover storage and the Ory.sh stack covers everything identity & Auth.
For deployment we’re looking to implement Infrastructure as Code (probably Pulumi) on Kubernetes (on one of the usual cloud platforms; AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc).
