🔧 What will you do?

The Platform Services team is responsible for creating and managing the platforms that power our products. For us, that means providing our teams with reliable, resilient, and performant data ingestion / data access systems. We ingest massive amounts of data, process it, and make it available for further use as quickly as possible. As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of these systems, typically using a combination of Go, Kubernetes, and hosted Google Cloud Services for your daily tasks.

While you'll occasionally work on the APIs and data pipelines that power our user-facing systems, you'll spend most of your time building the platforms that make the API and data pipeline work possible for other teams without our direct involvement. You'll work regularly with operations and other platform teams to continually enhance the stability of our systems, and you'll also work alongside our feature and data science teams to enhance our service offerings.

• You are skilled with Go and have some experience with JavaScript, Python, or C++.

tl;dr: We're looking for an excellent engineer with solid Go experience to join our small, distributed development team. We're in Los Angeles, San Francisco & Paris; substantial time-zone overlap with CET (Paris) is key because our lead frontend engineer lives & works there.

At Synthro, we are creating Foam, a new paradigm to collect, organize, create, and share your data, to help people think better together.

What will you do: Being a part of our infrastructure team, you will be working with Lead backend Engineer on complex migration of our codebase to Python 3 with its further optimization. As a top-notch software engineer in our team, you will be accountable for building comprehensive technical solutions with high-quality standards and practicing clean coding styles.

This includes working on features that are supported across all major web browsers, mobile devices, smart TVs, and video consoles. As a backend engineer, it is expected to work with large data sets and being an expert in designing efficient algorithms, queries, and caching methods.

Requirements

• A degree in STEM and/or relevant professional experience.
• Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals - algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and paradigms.
• 7+years of professional experience with Python in a high-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with Django or extensive experience with similar Python-based frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of inner workings of Django is highly desirable.
• Expert knowledge of web development with a deep understanding of inner workings of major browsers, including how they render HTML/CSS and their Javascript runtime environment.

The role

We want to bring an empathetic and collaborative engineer into one of our teams that focuses on a blend of open source and commercial code. We are building a product that enables organizations to operate with a GitOps mindset.

Omnivore is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our multifunctional team. You’ll work in a variety of languages and technologies, and on multiple parts of our platform including front-end and back-end components. If you enjoy working on REST APIs, web apps, asynchronous message processing systems, and desktop applications, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for an incoming senior team member to help lead the team into the future!
