What you bring

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable education.
• Ideally you have experience with React OR other JavaScript frameworks
• Experience crafting and implementing RESTful micro-services or GraphQL
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands on experience with public OR private cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• You are familiar with microservices based architecture patterns
• Experience in taking ownership of features, with a team on short and long-running projects
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, scrum)
• You think like an entrepreneur - you understand our business goals and how your daily decisions influence them.

The role

As a Go backend engineer, you’ll work on our API servers and internal libraries that make the Vizzlo products come to live. Your code will talk to AWS storage infrastructure, to JavaScript frontends, and best of all, to lots of different third-party APIs of other products Vizzlo integrates with. You are passionate about idiomatic Go code but are not afraid to tackle obstacles from all kinds of points of view when necessary. You love to write reliable, scalable, and tested code.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in mid-sized teams
• Verifiable Go knowledge
• Proficiency in SQL
• Comfort & prior experience in some of the following technologies of current SaaS stacks: AWS, MongoDB, Postgres, REST API, …
• You worked on a SaaS product before? That’s a HUGE plus.

• Profound knowledge of React, Python, NodeJS or Go.
• Passion for shipping CI/CD.
• You are located in Brazil or +/- 3 hours of Eastern Standard Time (EST).
• Ideally you graduated with a Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

You will provide leadership across Back-End Engineering and help guide the overall engineering vision for our MicroServices Architecture. You will lead and participate in architecture discussions with our architects and platform team to help define the core platform APIs to support our Mobile and Web Apps. You will participate in design reviews and recommend improvements. You will be part of a team that is committed to writing test-backed, clean and reusable code.
