Zero Hash is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help architect and build new features, as well as scaling the gateway to Finance 2.0. We are a high performing team looking for an equally ambitious and driven teammate.

Responsibilities

• Support the company’s vital business by contributing to the design and
  development of software in an event-driven microservices environment
• Develop microservices in Golang and Python
• Work with platform engineers to setup new services
• Respond to production issues and alerts
• When necessary, communicate directly with client technical teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in the FinTech space
• A humble and scrappy get-it-done mindset; you’re resourceful and in your
  element going from 0 to 1
• Excellent problem solving skills - can troubleshoot complex systems
• Deep Proficiency with at least one of Python and Golang and experience with
  the other.
• Understanding of SQL and database schema design
• Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear
  hypotheses and solve problems without well-defined direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• Bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience with the SciPy stack, specifically Pandas
• Experience at a banking-as-a-service, brokerage-as a service, payment-as-a- service business
• An understanding around financial services reconciliation tools
• Experience with digital assets
• Experience with yield-generating products

Zero Hash is a B2B embedded infrastructure platform that allows any platform to integrate digital assets natively into their own customer experience quickly and easily (a matter of API endpoints). We power neo-banks, broker-dealers, and payment groups to offer digital asset trading and custody, crypto-backed rewards and round-ups programs as well as yield through staking and DeFi and NFTs.

Our thesis is very simple: every financial services firm will offer digital assets within the next 2 years and will do so through platforms such as Zero Hash. Zero Hash is defining the new FinTech vertical of digital-assets-as-a-service.

Senior Backend Engineer

Overview

Simprints builds cutting-edge technology for some of the poorest individuals in the world, and in the most challenging environments on earth. We are working at the exciting interface of biometrics, technology, and international development where our product is used to radically increase transparency and effectiveness, making sure that every vaccine, every dollar, every education initiative reaches its intended recipient. Working with mentors from top companies like Google, Microsoft, and ARM, we design and develop both hardware and software by applying modern tools in distinctly un-modern environments with little to no internet connectivity. Simprints is currently on track to support over 4 million people by 2021.

We are looking for engineers with a focus on cloud-native backend development to join our growing tech team. You will work on an agile, collaborative team with a commitment to clean code and robust design, along with a strong culture of continuous learning and improvement. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable services that allow Simprints to support projects all over the world
• Leverage modern software development practices, such as DevOps, microservices and “serverless”
• Actively develop junior engineers through mentoring and design/code reviews
• Support growth of the team by attracting, on-boarding, and retaining top talent

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience building and operating backend services, with some experience in systems design
• At least 1 year of professional experience working with a major public cloud provider (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) using serverless or managed services (e.g. DynamoDB, BigQuery, any FaaS)
• Good understanding of software engineering basics such as (but not limited to) OOP, agile, REST, testing, SQL, NoSQL
• Commitment to lifelong learning. You eat new technologies for breakfast and stay up-to-date with recent trends (e.g. microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless)
• Ability to clearly communicate and document design decisions in both verbal and written form

Bonus points

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• Familiarity with Golang && (Java || Kotlin || Scala)
• Experience with mobile and/or web front-end. You have been on the other side of the API gateway
