Job Description
Do you want to work with Golang and help us make pension fun, easy and hassel-free? We are looking for developers who want to be part of our journey!
What you’ll be doing:
Since we are in a start-up phase, as a System Developer, you’ll have a lot of freedom in what kind of project you are interested in and we always appreciate new ideas. Your main responsibilities will be to develop in Golang, either for the needs of our customers or you’ll work with our internal toolings and infrastructure. Right now, one of our biggest tasks includes automatization.
The system is built in Go, with persistence handled by MariaDB (on AWS Aurora) and MongoDB. Other prominent technologies include protobuf, CoreOS, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana. The system consists of 16 microservices, plus two graphical interfaces and a mobile application. The front-end systems (internal CRM and a public website) are built in React and VueJS respectively, and the app in Flutter. CI is handled in GitLab, hosted on AWS on Kubernetes, including a Docker repository.
Is this you?
We believe you have come across Golang before and have an interest in learning more. You are also comfortable with Git and SQL. But to be fair, at Pensionera we value the mindset more than anything and we think that you might recognize these traits in yourself:
You like creative problem solving to find the best possible balance between technical possibilities/constraints, business value and customer need
You take pride in your work and value freedom under responsibility
You’re a fast learner and you like trying out new things
You cherish your work-life balance and you care about both your colleagues and yourself
You enjoy being challenged and finding new solutions.
This is us!
Pensionera is a Fintech company, rolling at high speed to help our customers get a better insight into their future pension. We provide an effective marked space, where our customers will be able to affect and increase their pension. Currently, we’re about 10 developers working in two streams, one focused on customer-facing products and one on internal tooling and infrastructure. Both streams are expanding and we need driven and caring new team members to join us.
We can offer you an entrepreneurial environment with plenty of room to grow as a professional and work with caring and skilled team members to learn from. We have flexible working hours, free breakfast, access to gym, pension and insurance plan according to ITP1, private healthcare plan and a lot more.
Good to know
The position as System Developer is full-time and our office is located at Vasagatan 16, Stockholm. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor a visa or offer a full-remote position. To apply, link you Linkedin or send us your CV in either English or Swedish.

Senior Software Engineer at Checkout.com:
Our solutions allow merchants to route dynamically a transaction to the best payment provider to optimise their conversion rate. Your main task will be to design and create or maintain micro-services within our infrastructure. Our product handles millions of transactions within a week. The API has its key part on it but the load is also on a multitude of other services.
You will work closely with our technical teams to learn about the possible technical bottle-necks. You will join a talented team of 10 engineers, Data Scientists and DevOps, that are tech-passionate, working closely with most of them. Our main goal is to ensure that we can contribute to your personal growth as an engineer.
Payments are often compared to a black-box. Merchants around the world have issues understanding how their performance is and what optimization can be done. Our team is focused on building the best payment performance tool there is. It allows merchants to better understand their online processes as well as offline payments.
We offer 2 products to our merchants:The first, named Telescope, allows us to analyse, understand and make recommendations to a merchant. It does not require any technical integration from them and works mainly through webhooks, pulling data from APIs or parsing exported files.
About You

Know your way around web-related tech (HTTP, TLS, proxies, API conventions...)
Implemented APIs
Experience deploying applications as a part of a service-oriented architecture
Curious and unafraid of digging deeper to understand how systems of all kinds work

Help us eliminate non-violent crime, one community at a time
Want to help build a company that’s improving our cities, solving crime, and protecting the privacy of individual citizens? Do you want to create the technology to make this possible?
Flock Safety exists to eliminate crime from our communities. We believe that safety starts, not when you enter your home or even your property, but when you enter your community. Excited about working on a fast-paced, constantly evolving product.
Able to crack a joke every now and then, even if you're the only one who laughs.
Our Tech
If you noticed, the above list says very little about specific coding skills. We believe the right person for this role is much more than a great engineer. But to get into the nitty gritty, currently our stack looks like:
Typescript (Node) web services with a bit of Scala and Go (Golang) in there as well as needed
React on the frontend, but also some mix of plain ole HTML, CSS (bootstrap), and Javascript (jQuery + KnockoutJS) as needed
Swift(iOS) or Kotlin(Android) for mobile apps
Postgres DB, but occasionally Redis or DynamoDB (use the right tool for the job)
Kubernetes, Docker
AWS (SQS, S3, etc)

We're building a more trustworthy Internet. Come join us.
Principal Software Engineer - Edge Data
You will be one of the first engineers working on a brand-new system that Fastly has been prototyping and is now beginning to operationalize. The system applies cutting-edge distributed systems theory — notably, CRDTs — to Fastly's global network to provide an infrastructure for state at the edge.
What You'll Do
Learn the distsys theory and Go implementation of the project to proficiency, becoming a technical "co-founder" and owner
Optimize system performance to meet Fastly's Internet-scale requirements, via testing, profiling, refactoring, and redesigning
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to define and implement primitives that will power a huge number of future Fastly products
Help to design, develop, and participate in a process for onboarding new engineers to the project, with a focus on mentorship and growth
Work in a small team that's highly motivated to find new, innovative ways to give our customers new capabilities
What We're Looking For
Clear, effective, and empathetic communication skills, both written and verbal, especially when discussing complex technical topics
Intermediate+ proficiency with Go (Golang), ideally having built and operated one or more large-scale projects
Advanced distributed systems theory experience, especially eventual consistency, and a strong interest in learning more
A "systems thinker" who always keeps the big picture in mind, even as they work on the smallest details
Effective at asynchronous remote work, with teammates across the world
Why Fastly?
We have a huge impact. Fastly is a small company with a big reach. Not only do our customers have a tremendous user base, but we also support a growing number of open source projects and initiatives. Outside of code, employees are encouraged to share causes close to their heart with others so we can help lend a supportive hand.
We love distributed teams. Fastly’s home-base is in San Francisco, but we have multiple offices and employees sprinkled around the globe. In fact, 50% of our employees work outside of SF! An international remote culture is in our DNA.
We care about you. Fastly works hard to create a positive environment for our employees, and we think your life outside of work is important too. We support our teams with great benefits like up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, options for free medical/dental/vision plans, and an open vacation program that enables our folks to take the time they need to recharge (some benefits may vary by location).
We value diversity. Growing and maintaining our inclusive and diverse team matters to us. We are committed to being a company where our employees feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have the ability to be successful -- every day.
We are passionate. Fastly is chock full of passionate people and we’re not ‘one size fits all’. Fastly employs authors, pilots, skiers, parents (of humans and animals), makeup geeks, coffee connoisseurs, and more. We love employees for who they are and what they are passionate about.
We’re always looking for humble, sharp, and creative folks to join the Fastly team. If you think you might be a fit, please apply!

There is also a highly monetizable spinoff; a real time communication product (an alternative to the myriad of organization and collaboration tools all in one secure place) that would enable major media, human rights and environmental groups etc to operate free of censorship in countries like Russia, China, and Saudi Arabia.
