The role

We want to bring an empathetic and collaborative engineer into one of our teams that focuses on a blend of open source and commercial code. We are building a product that enables organizations to operate with a GitOps mindset.

This needs someone who is comfortable navigating sometimes unclear scenarios and is proactive in wanting to help figure things out.

You will be helping to develop and maintain tools and products which make using cloud-managed and on-premise Kubernetes installations easy.

• Hands-on development work in Golang
• Working on building out our progressive delivery capabilities around the Weave GitOps Core product and the open source technologies that are its foundation

Omnivore is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our multifunctional team. You’ll work in a variety of languages and technologies, and on multiple parts of our platform including front-end and back-end components. We’re searching for senior engineers to grow our team! You will contribute to all stages of development, deployment, support, operations, and product planning. We're looking for a media focused systems engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll work in an autonomous group that builds cloud-based services to power our entire media processing and delivery pipeline: the service at the very core of the Frame.io product. You will prototype innovative ideas and look to continuously optimize and enhance our media pipeline.

Some projects members of this team have built recently include:

• An HLS and Dash streaming video service, built using Cloudfront, Lambda@Edge and API Gateway.
• An on-the-fly watermarking system, encoding segments within Lambda functions.
• A PDF page extraction service, generating up-to 4k images per page of a PDF.

We also have some very exciting initiatives around live capture from multiple sources into the Frame.io cloud. We rely heavily on AWS services to build these systems; in fact our whole video encoding process was recently the subject of an in-depth AWS showcase that you can check out HERE.

As a team we work with petabytes of data, hundreds of thousands of video encodes per day, and the challenges and demands that come from working at the very forefront of delivering Enterprise grade secure review experiences. Requirements

• Experience working in Go (Golang), Python, Java, or C++.
• A background working with video or image processing.

Distributed Systems - TLS / API Engineer

We’re looking for talented software engineers with experience in building resilient and distributed systems to join our team. This role is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining the platform to deliver our core CDN configurations as well as our future Edge Cloud products. We have local offices in San Francisco, Portland and other locations. Remote workers are also encouraged to apply. Time zones with some overlap to North American time zones are preferred.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the systems for managing DNS and TLS technology to minimize latency for delivering Fastly's services.
• Implement systems to allow Fastly's customers to control their own TLS and DNS configurations for how their requester traffic reaches Fastly.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of Fastly's latency-informed, topologically-aware DNS system.
• Support internal operational, analytical and customer-facing teams that depend on the DNS and TLS tooling.
• Build internet-scale, fault tolerant, well-instrumented services that enable Fastly's authoritative DNS services and TLS termination capabilities.
