We’re building the engineering team to lead Rumble into the future. Position Summary

We’re searching for senior engineers to grow our team! You will contribute to all stages of development, deployment, support, operations, and product planning. This position reports directly to the CEO today and will split into functional teams once the team expands. Herdius is a Berlin based Blockchain Company. We are working on building homomorphic distributed private key generation which then is turned into value bearing products in different sectors. Currently we are very close to open beta-testing for the Herdius-Crypto-Wallet.
What we focus on on the blockchain field specifically is interoperability and trading. When connecting different chains on the key level, users can eliminate communication channels, bridges and complex systems. In other words, users can do cross-exchange and chain token swaps very conveniently and profitably for the user due to the cross-exchange arbitrage opportunities. The broader vision is one day to replace API auth keys with public-private key cryptography in order to provide layered access to user data.

All this makes for a crypto eco system and hedge fund that pays interest on all cryptocurrencies (that right now are unfortunately somewhat unusable and just laying around on wallets).

Herdius is seeking for a Gopher Guru - an experienced Senior Golang Backend-Developer - to join our team of smart and visionary individuals. Experience in Blockchain is not necessary but a big plus.

Role Overview

As a Senior Blockchain Developer, you will lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of a new blockchain built on Cosmos SDK and CometBFT (Tendermint). You will work closely with a compact, highly skilled team to deliver scalable blockchain solutions, conceptualize innovative features, and ensure the seamless operation of our Layer-1 network.

Key Responsibilities

●Blockchain Development & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain a blockchain from scratch using Cosmos SDK and CometBFT (Tendermint).
● Feature Implementation: Conceptualize and implement new features, ensuring an optimal balance between user experience and technical complexity.
● Smart Integrations: Develop and optimize third-party services and applications within the Coreum blockchain ecosystem.
● Performance Optimization: Ensure high scalability, security, and efficiency of the blockchain infrastructure.
● Code Review & Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a small team of 2-3 engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices in blockchain development.

** Qualifications & Requirements**

● 4+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain technologies.
● 2+ years of experience working with Cosmos SDK and CometBFT (Tendermint).
● 3+ years of development experience using Golang.
● Strong knowledge of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and peer-to-peer networks.
● Proven experience in delivering at least one production-ready blockchain project (testnet or mainnet).
● Ability to write efficient, secure, and maintainable code.
● Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing blockchain protocols.
● Intermediate or higher proficiency in English for effective communication.

** Nice-to-Have Skills**

● Experience with IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol).
● Familiarity with smart contract platforms, Wasm-based smart contracts, or Rust.
● Experience with DeFi protocols, NFTs, or tokenomics design.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Developer to join our team. This role is open in our Amsterdam office (relocation is possible), or remotely (EU or UK-based).

What you will be doing

You'll focus on one of the most used Products: Chat, as well as the brand new Video & Audio API.

A big portion of your day will be dedicated to software design, research, and coding.

On typical projects, you will have a lot of freedom and you will be paired with another team member.

Our team is made up of very experienced engineers, some with more than 10 years of experience.

By working together you will learn from each other along the way. Not only that, you will have an enormous impact!

Our customers have millions of users; they use Stream for mission-critical features such as showing content and exposing the core functionality of their application.

Responsibilities

  • Add new features to the service and find ways to make the existing ones perform orders of magnitude faster.
  • Help make our API service faster, more scalable and more flexible.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Design and write state-of-the-art software, follow best practices, measure everything and be responsible for deployment to production.
  • Engage with customers and help them to use Stream in their app.

  • High scalability: we use sharding, master-master, and master-slave to ensure scalability.

About you

You have:

  • 7+ years of backend development experience.
  • Proficiency in Go language is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with high traffic and high performance applications.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience with building HTTP APIs.
  • Experience managing your own projects and work in a team.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with JavaScript and web development frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with one (preferably few) of the following languages: Rust, Java, C, C++, Erlang, Node.js, Python.
  • Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with designing and building REST API’s.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a Software Engineer with experience managing projects and leading development teams and is comfortable interacting with stakeholders and third party software vendors. Having the ability to develop customized strategies and adapt to each individual project is paramount to this position’s success.

This Software Engineer will deliver on-time, quality-driven code releases, strategize and manage multiple development projects, and provide direction on software design and the software development process. You will be responsible for writing clean, secure, reusable code while working closely with our internal team and offshore development team. This position is located in Calabasas, CA with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule. This is not a fully remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to build and maintain new features to achieve roadmap goals

  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

  • Partner with offshore development team to build innovative new features that operate at scale

  • Support debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated fluency in React (with Typescript) & Golang (Bonus points for Next.js)

  • Experience writing automated tests

  • Full range of technology layers from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript best practices)

  • Experience w/ AWS (S3, EC2, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, etc.)

  • Must have Unix/Linux web server knowledge and applied understanding (SSL certificates / DNS / email setup)

  • Experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience with managing CI/CD tooling

  • Git workflow (branching, merging, tagging, cherry picking)

  • Understanding of RESTful & GraphQL services and how to interact with them

  • Experienced with event-driven microservice architecture

  • Logging & Monitoring tools such as Rollbar, Sentry, Cloudwatch, Pingdom, etc. (bonus points for experience with tracing/observability tools)

  • Database design concepts and experience with SQL (primarily Postgres)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • May work in drastic temperature climates while on site at our events

  • Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during holiday, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
