What will you do: Being a part of our infrastructure team, you will be working with Lead backend Engineer on complex migration of our codebase to Python 3 with its further optimization. As a top-notch software engineer in our team, you will be accountable for building comprehensive technical solutions with high-quality standards and practicing clean coding styles.
This includes working on features that are supported across all major web browsers, mobile devices, smart TVs, and video consoles. As a backend engineer, it is expected to work with large data sets and being an expert in designing efficient algorithms, queries, and caching methods.

Engineering foundations
An ideal senior candidate has 4+ years equivalent experience in one or more of Fleet's three engineering foundations (and interest in digging into the others). (See https://fleet-device-management.breezy.hr/p/da3e70892475 for more information on that.)
For now, let's focus on Golang:
Fleetβs server is written in Go with go-kit. Deployments range from single servers to over 100,000 clients connected to horizontally scaled Fleet servers, handling tens of thousands of requests per minute. We aim to keep Fleetβs deployment as simple as possible to ease self-hosted deployment. MySQL and Redis are used for persistence and caching.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend you will be responsible for the implementation, design, development, and technical quality of the product.
