We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II who is familiar with cloud platforms, container technology and loves automation. As the first dedicated hire supporting cloud infrastructure, internal tooling and automation you will have an impact on how we operate all our systems and services. In this role you will help build and maintain cloud infrastructure for our tools and products as well as assist with customer deployments ensuring we are following best practices and industry standards. You'll directly contribute to the success of our new hosted product by serving a hybrid DevOps / SRE function. This role will participate in our on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, cloud engineer, site reliability engineer or systems administrator
• Demonstrable experience administering AWS, especially VPCs, Lambda, RDS, S3 and IAM Roles & Policies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform
• Excellent understanding of Docker & container technologies
• Hands on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
• Demonstrable understanding of modern software development practices including pair programming, peer reviews, Git-based workflows, continuous integration and delivery, and automated testing
• Comfortable with Bash and Python
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and services (DataDog)

Not required, but a plus:

• Experience with Go or another statically typed and compiled language
• Experience with serverless systems
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with software package management (RPM, APT, npm, Maven, Nexus, Artifactory, etc)
• Ability to evaluate the benefits of using in-house vs off-the-shelf solutions

Gevulot is a generic decentralized prover network designed for deploying arbitrary provers as on-chain programs while maintaining performance similar to centralized provers. The vision of Gevulot is to make the creation of performant zk-based systems, such as validity rollups, as easy as deploying smart contracts.

AiB's Developer Experience (DevX) team is seeking a talented and motivated software engineer with experience in designing and developing backend systems in Go. You will be working within the DevX team to define requirements, iterate on software solutions, and deliver useful developer APIs for people interested in building Gno ecosystem. As part of the platform team in the Jack Henry Digital group, you’ll get the chance to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Our teams build, deploy, and manage resources to deliver the Banno Platform. We provide the foundation for development teams to build new services for deployment in a secure and scalable fashion. Emphasizing DevOps and observability, you’ll enable and assist our product engineering teams with deploying and monitoring their services.

This is a remote position with the ability if desired to collocate at several JHA locations nationwide (post-covid of course). Work hours are flexible, but gravitate towards US business hours. Occasional travel may be required for professional development conferences or company meetings (post covid).

Skills and Expertise

• 1+ years of experience deploying and managing infrastructure services and applications to public and private compute platforms.
• 2+ years building and maintaining deployment pipelines in production.
• 3+ years of experience in production container orchestration, operations, security, and networking.
• 4+ years of experience in software development or related field.

• Take part in an on-call rotation where you will aid engineering teams in responding to production issues quickly. Use early warning and alerting technologies to aid in the development of self-healing and/or well documented responses to problems.
• Participate in post-mortems focused on identifying contributing causes. Providing actionable solutions to prevent the issue from recurring and increase service reliability.
• Provide technical infrastructure insight and help to development and operations teams in the support of our platform.
• Work to further develop your career with candid feedback, continuous learning and wide ranging experiences working with our production environments.
