Lana’s engineering team is still young (15 - 20 engineers) but it is growing very fast and needs to have clear architectural guidelines to make sure that all pieces work together.
We are still at a very early stage as a company, so all our positions are hands-on positions, and we expect from all team members to contribute to agile product delivery.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer Lead that is willing to take the challenge of bringing Lana’s architecture to the next level while supporting/coaching his peers (engineers, product managers…) to understand it so they can make decisions that are more in line with the architecture, and with the business needs.
This is a hands-on role so you will also be assigned to a team and will have to develop critical services enforcing our architecture guidelines.

About Wingocard
Wingocard is a FinTech startup looking to disrupt the banking industry. About the Role
As a Senior Back End Developer at Wingocard, you will be helping the engineering team in architecting and implementing the foundational pieces of the Wingocard FinTech API. These APIs will need to be scalable, resilient and ensure high availability. They will be responsible for interfacing with external FinTech products whilst also exposing an API that will be consumed by the Wingocard application. About Fuzzbuzz
We're Fuzzbuzz and we're building a fuzzing as a service platform that integrates into CI systems and the modern software testing workflow. Fuzzing is a type of automated testing that generates and runs thousands of inputs per second on your code to try and find bugs and vulnerabilities. It uses code coverage and other signals from your code to guide the tests it generates and runs. You can read more here.

About the Team
We're currently a team of 5 people and prefer staying small - allowing us to iterate faster and get very comfortable working with each other (the 3 founders have been roommates since first year university). That means you'll be 16% of the team - all of the work you do will be extremely critical and immediately impact users. We pair in small teams of 4 - 8 people in our London office, conveniently located at Old Street. We use Slack to stay connected and Tmux for pairing. We are working hard to make sure that our distributed teams function as smoothly as our distributed systems.
You'll rarely be alone when developing; from pairing all day to 1 on 1 time with your manager, there is always a Pivot there to lend a helping hand. Mentorship from senior engineering leadership is built right into our process - you’ll always be empowered.

*Your Day*
As cliche as it may sound, every day is completely different from the next. We have a general framework for what our day looks like and the majority of it will be spent with your pair:
9:06 AM - Office-wide stand-up to build office cohesion and start the day off together.
9:10 AM - Team standup - discuss any blockers, choose pairs, maybe even tell a joke.
9:30-12:30 PM - Start pairing, tackle an open GitHub issue and open a pull-request.
12:30-1:30 PM - Lunch! Grab food from one of the many nearby restaurants, run an errand, or join a book club.
1:31-6:00 PM - Get back with your pair and start an acceptance test for a big feature.
While that schedule does look busy, don’t worry - we take ample breaks throughout the day. Take a walk to get boba, read a book on the balcony, play a game of ping pong, or chat with co-workers at the snack bar. Sustainable pace is held in high regard.
