As a CancerIQ Software Engineer, you will to take part in an agile engineering process. You will architect and implement backend and frontend solutions using Javascript, Ruby, Golang, Rust, Elixir, and other technologies best-suited for the goals of the CancerIQ platform. You'll research, design, and propose architectural initiatives that incorporate domain-driven design into the microservices environment, employing sound data validation, provenance, and communication using technologies such as Kubernetes, GraphQL, and Kafka. You’ll be developing robust, performant services and user-friendly web clients that can enable clinicians to operate efficiently and gain new insights. Through intuitive visuals and interfaces, you will be creating modern and appealing applications across multiple platforms for patients of all types and demographics.

We want you to lead new efforts, promote best practices, and help the rest of the team grow in their engineering abilities through mentorship and teaching. We love pairing and so should you.

What are we looking for?

You should have several years of experience and completed many projects that have enabled you to develop strong opinions on code structure and modularization. With the rapid movement in the web landscape, you shouldn’t be afraid to dive into new technologies and learn from top to bottom. We use a mixture of technologies, and focus on those that help us get jobs done most efficiently. Knowledge of Javascript frameworks such as Angular, React, Backbone, and the like, should be something you can bring. You should have an expert-level understanding of Javascript (e.g. prototype-based inheritance, event delegation, closures, callbacks). You need thorough knowledge of the newer frameworks, and the progression of web technologies such as ES6/7, Typescript, etc.

You should have deep knowledge of the surrounding parts of the stack with the capability of designing RESTful APIs and backend services. As we scale to reach many patients and institutions, you’d make implementation decisions around scalability, performance, and web page optimization techniques. The desire to learn and help others are two core values that drive us as a development team. We believe that if you aren’t passionate about these values, then we’re not your best fit. You should be passionate about always learning and growing, as well as spreading new knowledge to just as passionate team members. As such, you’re a clear communicator and should be able to work with team members effectively.

What are the “Nice To Haves”?

Being able to navigate and contribute to the full stack will ultimately prove to be beneficial to the team. Knowledge of server-side technologies such as Ruby, Python, Java, Go, etc., would be excellent.

We employ a rapid, continuous deployment system, and as developers are responsible for seeing their features through deployment. Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure tools (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Kafka) will prove to be beneficial.

About The Role

We are building out our founding Engineering team. Senior Full-stack Engineers have the opportunity to work across the stack, front to back. About This Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of products that help companies communicate with their customers in deep and personal ways. We service over 30,000 API requests per second and our SDK is installed on over 2 billion devices around the world. We are a small team <15 engineers and our technology stack is built in Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Python, running on Cassandra, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Kafka. THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a Software Engineer with experience managing projects and leading development teams and is comfortable interacting with stakeholders and third party software vendors. Having the ability to develop customized strategies and adapt to each individual project is paramount to this position’s success.

This Software Engineer will deliver on-time, quality-driven code releases, strategize and manage multiple development projects, and provide direction on software design and the software development process. You will be responsible for writing clean, secure, reusable code while working closely with our internal team and offshore development team. This position is located in Calabasas, CA with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule. This is not a fully remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to build and maintain new features to achieve roadmap goals

• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

• Partner with offshore development team to build innovative new features that operate at scale

• Support debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated fluency in React (with Typescript) & Golang (Bonus points for Next.js)

• Experience writing automated tests

• Full range of technology layers from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript best practices)

• Experience w/ AWS (S3, EC2, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, etc.)

• Must have Unix/Linux web server knowledge and applied understanding (SSL certificates / DNS / email setup)

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Build and maintain ecosystem of high-volume services and APIs.
• Scaling and optimizing services and databases for performance.
• Own features from technical design through maintenance.
• Build features, investigate and fix bugs, write routine-complex tests.
• Break down complex tasks/requests into sub-tasks, make consistently good decisions, operate independently between regular or periodic check-ins.
• Consistently use software engineering best practices.
• Lead day to day tasks and priorities, accurately estimate time to complete tasks, resulting in high quality and high productivity for at least one (or more) product team(s).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or relevant field (or equivalent).
• At least 5-7+ years’ directly related software development experience.
• Advanced-expert backend programming skills using one or more backend languages such as Go/Golang, C++, Python, Java or Ruby. Go/Golang desired.
• Advanced-expert experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and a deep understanding of database performance optimization.
• Advanced-expert experience using Linux.
• Advanced-expert understanding of underlying architecture and infrastructure that runs their team's projects.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing.
• Solid experience with git.
• Experience using Docker in production highly desired.
• Some experience using Kubernetes and Terraform highly desirable.
• Intermediate-advanced ability to assess/improve performance and increase observability within team's projects.
• Strong ability to develop unique, outside the box ideas.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

We have a need for a Software Developer to focus on building out new platform services. You will work on a team developing the next generation of core platform capabilities for Acronis, powering the transformation to a Cyber Protection Platform. Our team primarily develops new or generalizes existing applications relevant to core functionality to enable our wide range of applications and integrations.

For this position, we are looking for somebody who either has or is able to quickly demonstrate abilities with some or all of the following technologies:

Golang: all of our new service development is done in Golang.
PostgreSQL: we make heavy use of databases, and we use PostgreSQL primarily.- Kubernetes/Docker/CI Pipelines/MAKE/shell
Operating Systems and User-Machine Software: Acronis interacts heavily with client machines, experience with non-web-service software development, particularly user applications in Windows and Linux.
HTTP APIs: we need people who understand HTTP APIs from verbs to oauth to TLS, as well as familiarity with nginx, DNS and other key application-level technologies.
Python, C#, Java: this will get you bonus points or would be considered in place of Golang, in conjunction with existing basic fluency in Golang and strong skills in SQL and other key areas listed here.

Additional technologies which successful applicant should be able to quickly develop and display competency:

GraphQL: For schema aggregation and presentation usage.
WebSockets/gRPC: Event reactive frontend architectures.

Visa is looking for Software Engineers who will help build Open VisaNet, Visa's Next generation payment processing platform developed on Open Systems, that would fuel growth in electronic payments globally and drive financial inclusion in many parts of the world. Open VisaNet, is the Next Generation VisaNet, will push the envelope of building highly scalable, secure, cost effective and distributed application on commodity hardware using best-in-class technology components. Open VisaNet is one of Visa's Key initiative that will help Visa support in-country processing solutions and provide Visa an opportunity to move away from Proprietary Mainframe type systems. Building Open VisaNet will involve collaboration with exceptional group of software engineers, security specialists, DevOps engineers, payment experts and infrastructure architects. Essential Functions: Design, implement and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed business components using functional programming paradigm. Work with Product Owner to determine functional requirements and business flow and translate into low level designs. Collaborate with the multiple teams across Product, Development, Operation & Infrastructure to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues. Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts. Support in triaging and troubleshooting of highly distributed services in release testing and production environment. Understand and own component security analysis, including code and data flow review. Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure coding techniques.
