We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Golang Developer to join the backend team of our Shop Applications Unit.

The Shop Applications Unit constantly improves the App, Mobile Website and Desktop Website. These big-scale products are each visited by several million people every month. Our highly scalable API updates and delivers our product data for our shop frontends in real-time – in peak times with up to millions of requests per minute! In that case, it truly matters if an API call takes 200ms or 50ms to ensure the best shopping experience. The team constantly challenges itself to raise the bar of what is “state of the art” and to provide the fastest and most efficient solutions to upcoming projects.

Challenges the team will be working on in the next months:

• Working on a new backend API with the goal to unify core business logic to significantly reduce complexity in our frontends
• Hardening and optimization of the API for production use Finding solutions for challenges we face as we grow

What you will do

• Develop a gRPC API in Go that encapsulates core business logic in a simple to use API for our frontend developers
• Improve scalability and technical performance of our API and its response times
• Work on a high-scalable product in the AWS ecosystem
• Draft architectural decisions together with our Tech Lead and explore new technologies
• Have a direct impact on team processes by regular agile retrospectives

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of experience in building complex backend API’s
• You are very proficient in Go development
• You have good knowledge of Elasticsearch and indexing products
• You have experience in working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL) and key-value stores (e.g. Redis)
• You write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy building scalable distributed systems
• You are used to working in an English speaking & agile environment

Nice to have:

• You have experience in the AWS Ecosystem (Cloud Formation, Terraform, ElastiCache, etc.), Bamboo
• You have experience with gRPC or GraphQL

WalletConnect is the open-source web3 standard to connect blockchain wallets to dapps. Started four years ago, our mission is to make web3 accessible to everyone. Every month, millions of people use WalletConnect in over 200 integrations.

We’re looking for a backend golang engineer to join our team to build and scale our network. To help grow web3, we recently launched WalletConnect 2.0 with new features, including multi-chain support, a decentralized back-end, faster connections, and 10x performance and scalability. Requirements

You will be responsible for building Golang messaging services. A main challenge is growing our services to scale for our millions of users across billions of websocket connections every month, as well as ensuring security and resiliency.

To help with your role, you will have the support of our devops team to deploy and manage our infrastructure, will work closely with our protocol and SDK teams, and have exposure to the full WalletConnect stack.

The ideal candidate is immersed in the best practices of golang at scale, messaging systems and Websockets.

Responsibilities:

• Building a microservice architecture based on Golang with scaling in mind
• Work with protocols such as Websockets, gRPC
• Help with monitoring by creating metrics with Prometheus and Grafana
• Develop unit and integration tests for core business logic
• Work closely with our devops team to manage and scale our infrastructure

Must have:

• 3+ years professional experience in software development at least one modern programming language, including Golang, TypeScript, C++, Java, or Rust.
• At least 1 year of professional Golang experience.
• Experience using Postgres, AWS, with demonstrable experience with systems engineering and automation.
• You have experience with network programming or distributed systems development
• Experience working on products at scale

Nice to have:

• Experience working on systems optimisation
• Experience with k8s or Nomad a plus
• Desire to learn more about Blockchain technologies or experience with PoS systems.

About you:

• You have gained significant experience with software development, writing idiomatic Go code, and are familiar with the tooling of the Go programming language;

We're building a foundation for algorithms to predict the best way for two people to reach agreement on legal contracts.. nothing like this hasn't been attempted before. 

We make human negotiations machine-readable, create big data sets of behavioural data and use open APIs to integrate with third-party platforms. If we do our job right, our users feel empowered to negotiate contracts and get sh*t done really quickly.

We're now looking for a a backend focused Go Engineer who is comfortable building complex, server-side business logic and contributing to our extensible architecture built on RESTful APIs. Our solution runs on a modern stack which is deployed via CI/CD on Redis and stored in Docker containers running on AWS.

Therefore we are looking for a backend focused PHP Software Engineer (m/f) who loves to solve complex problems, shares knowledge, takes responsibility and makes pragmatic decisions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with our small and talented team of engineers (PHP, React.js, Go and Infrastructure Engineers) to develop our contract negotiations platform with an eye towards efficiency and scalability. You will focus on the server-side implementation of our business logic, which manages many parts of our system.
