At PatronGG, our mission is to build tools that make esports accessible for everyone. Our latest product is called Kokyo, an esports companion app aimed at providing esports fans with a single place to stay up-to-date with their favourite teams. To help us build the best esports app on the market, we are looking for a Backend (Go) Developer to come and join our early-stage startup.

Collaborate with the team to create the highest quality experience for our users
Architect, design, develop and deliver performant and scalable services and systems
Manage, extend and improve our infrastructure, making sure it is performant and reliable
Help shape product vision and refine team processes as we grow

YOU ARE:
Microservice-savvy: You have multiple years under your belt working with, architecting and designing microservice architecture
Cloud native: You demonstrated expertise in building performant and reliable infrastructure in the cloud (using technologies like docker, kubernetes or terraform)
Programmer at heart: You eat, sleep, and breathe code. Your code is excellent in more than one programming language.

Job Description
We are looking for software engineers at all levels of experience, from junior engineer to group leads, to join our rapidly growing teams in Lisbon. You will design and build intuitive applications at scale within our software and data squads and contribute with your ideas to forming the outcome of the projects.

Your Responsibilities
Develop, extend and maintain various customer-facing interface modules with modern front-end technical stacks, e.g. React or AngularJS, as well as various Backend and RESTful APIs that serve various digital channels;
Cooperate closely with development, Data, Marketing and BI teams inside squads to build and integrate Data-centric products, e.g. CRUD interfaces, machine learning end-points or recommendation engines;
Ideally, help to design and develop native or hybrid mobile applications for prominent clients at scale.
Skills and qualifications
You are a fast learner, with a degree in software engineering or related fields;
You have deep knowledge of one or more common languages, e.g. Python, PHP, Java or Go;
You have expertise in Javascript, HTML, CSS, and experience with modern frameworks, e.g. React, Angular or Vue;
You own your tasks and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within small and talented teams;
Experience with Data stacks, microservices or front-end technologies is a big plus;
You have built client-side customer facing applications, with an eye on user experience, performance and security;
(optional) You have experience with developing hybrid or native mobile applications for iOS and Android.

Job Description
At Synergist, we've begun an ambitious project to to automate human negotiation.
We're building a foundation for algorithms to predict the best way for two people to reach agreement on legal contracts.. nothing like this hasn't been attempted before.
We make human negotiations machine-readable, create big data sets of behavioural data and use open APIs to integrate with third-party platforms. If we do our job right, our users feel empowered to negotiate contracts and get sh*t done really quickly.
We're now looking for a a backend focused Go Engineer who is comfortable building complex, server-side business logic and contributing to our extensible architecture built on RESTful APIs. Our solution runs on a modern stack which is deployed via CI/CD on Redis and stored in Docker containers running on AWS.
We have flexible working hours, no hierarchy and give you the autonomy you need to get sh*t done. We're a small team that iterate quickly, but also value who you are over how good you are... Our culture is our greatest asset and we try not to take ourselves too seriously ;)
What we are looking for:
5+ years of experience with any general purpose programming language (PHP, Java, Python); or a solid Computer Science background and a desire to learn new stacks
A desire to learn Golang
Strong MySQL and database design skills
An understanding of how design decisions affect scalability, storage requirements, and the like
Basic Linux skills
Fluent in spoken and written English
Nice to have:
Previous Golang experience
Experience working on a consumer product at scale
Experience with Docker, ECS and AWS
Familiar with at least one frontend framework (React, Ember, etc) - AngularJS is preferred
Familiarity with Redis, Docker and/or AWS
