Senior Backend Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days/week)

SOPHIE builds AI tools that remove manual admin work for sales teams. We’re a small engineering team (4 devs) looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys architecture, performance, and integrations work.

What you'll do

Design and build backend services and APIs
Improve performance (latency, networking, memory)
Build integrations with CRMs/ERPs
Work on CI/CD, observability, and multicloud setups
Collaborate directly with the CTO and CEO on technical decisions

Requirements

5+ years of backend development
Strong Python experience
Experience with Go or Rust is a plus
Experience integrating with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)
Comfortable in a small, fast-moving startup environment
Able to work from our London office 2 days/week
