We are looking for highly passionate, highly skilled Golang developers with high attention to detail that are responsible for their codebase and the approvals they give to each PR they review. We admire Uncle Ben a lot and we live by his famous quote: “With great power comes great responsibility”. Each developer will have both, great power and great responsibility. The project is in an early phase, so there’s almost no maintenance, only research and development. We are a 10 year old company with a startup mentality, still, which means we care alot about bleeding edge tech and being up to date with the latest & greatest.
Our awesome Software Engineering team is 100% remote and consists of talented Senior Software Engineers that collaborate across 15 European countries. Our software engineers work in small, highly agile, self-managed teams. They share a common interest in engineering best practices and understand that quality is everyone’s responsibility. Their philosophy is to favour open-source collaborative development – leveraging open-source tools and communities, whilst always making sure to share their know-how back up stream. Put simply, they are cloud-native enthusiasts and DevOps advocates.
At Form3 you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deploy backend cloud-native services within a powerful state-of-the-art microservices architecture. The work is cutting edge, constantly changing and focused on building highly available, low latency, scalable solutions.
Play an active role in introducing new technologies and ways of working to stay ahead of the competition, without ever compromising on quality. Contribute and collaborate with other engineers on technical and architectural decisions. Enjoy end-to-end ownership from concept to deployment, including building and operating infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines. Who We Are
PowerSpike is a media & technology company focused on building the most compelling and streamlined destination for activating sponsorships within gaming communities. PowerSpike collaborates with 30,000+ gaming and esports influencers to execute premium, authentic influencer marketing campaigns. PowerSpike’s influencer network reaches over 150M viewers every month and has already grown over 1000% in 2020. The 5-year-old company is backed by Techstars, Cox Enterprises, the Sixers Innovation Lab, the Dorm Room Fund, and Ocean Azul Partners.
What we’re building
PowerSpike is building the world’s first Influencer Exchange.
Like a traditional ad exchange, where buyers can place bids for ads in real-time, PowerSpike’s technology instead enables brands to bid on influencers. We’re taking the simple and streamlined experience of programmatic advertising, and combining it with the authenticity of influencer marketing to deliver instantly scalable influencer campaigns. Think Google Ads meets influencers. Currently focused on the gaming space, our technology enables brands like Intuit Quickbooks and Activision Blizzard to launch influencer campaigns across our network of over 30,000+ Twitch streamers, just like they’d make a media buy.
Your work will directly help influencers pursue their dreams and assist some of the biggest brands in the world in streamlining their influencer marketing efforts.
What we need
We’re looking for a dedicated, passionate, innovative, and security-oriented Backend Web Developer to work on bringing PowerSpike’s databases and API’s to life.
Reporting directly to the VP of Development, you will be responsible for building bug-free data solutions which will deliver information to influencers, brands and advertisers to help them make critical marketing decisions for their spends. If the words RPC, distributed servers, and scalable architecture excite you - then we want to talk.
We value learning, creativity, radical candor, positivity and collaboration - and as one of the first people at PowerSpike, we’re looking for someone who can help us define our culture and processes for years to come. Simply put, we believe in hiring A+ people, giving them clarity in what success means, and then supporting them to their fullest potential.
BONUS POINTS IF
PowerSpike, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected Veteran status.
We at PeerBoard are building a plug and play community & publishing platform. Think of a Subreddit/Fb Group that can be embedded into any website, an ultimate content creation and management system. We are 1 year old and have a first iteration of the product live, but now need stronger engineering leadership and execution to help us get to the next stage.
I (the founder) am an ex-Facebook engineering leader, but I don’t have capacity to be deeply involved in engineering so am looking for somebody who can take off this load from me and essentially become a CTO for us at that stage.
In regards of the compensation, we’re early stage and while funded, are trying to restrain ourselves from having a large burn. In addition to cash base we give stock and in general love when people are aligned with our long-term mission.
Also would appreciate any recommendations if you know the right person who cares about building quality open communication tools on scale.
Please email us in case of any questions.

More about you
Luxor specializes in the physical delivery of hashrate (compute power). Over the past three years we have been acting as a buyer of hashrate, purchasing, and mining over $45mm worth. We currently have 35,000 machines that sell us their hashrate daily.
We fundamentally believe that compute power itself is a commodity and we want to build out traditional marketplaces and derivates for it.
We are building a spot-market for hashrate, not dissimilar to a compute-power version of Henry Hub. After this is completed we will begin building incredibly powerful and interesting derivative products on the value of hashrate.
You will develop the technical design for either cloud or on-premises solutions. Also, influence designs across R&D using original research and advanced analysis. You’ll design solutions for business-critical and highly complex engineering projects by applying extensive domain expertise in performance testing. You’ll provide oversight of code and design reviews, and ensure features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements.
Our teams own mission-critical aspects of a rapidly growing, globally distributed platform (eg: Hashrate Marketplace and 15 unique mining pools), in the cloud, and, as such, you will have an incredible amount of impact on the current state and future direction of our product, with visibility throughout the organization and a significant opportunity to take ownership.
This role will report directly to the CTO.
This is a remote role but you need to be based between UTC-8 and UTC-3 timezones.
Option to be paid in Bitcoin. Equity package.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our small and collaborative team to work on one of the most rewarding projects in the crypto mining industry.
The Ideal Candidate:
At Luxor we believe that meaningful contributions can be made by anyone. Each of us has a responsibility to drive Equality in our communities and workplaces. Luxor welcomes all.

In the morning, you and your fellow engineers have a refinement session with the PO to discuss the upcoming features on the roadmap. You carefully consider the impact of the new feature on the entire product and raise questions and make suggestions of what is the most pragmatic approach to balance the technical excellence with the time to market. You are part of a discussion that builds on top of each other suggestions, ideas and comments. Today you have chosen to come to the office and after lunch you play table tennis or pool or go for a walk with colleagues in the city centre. In the afternoon, you enter a deep work period and finish working on improving one of the provider’s mapping models. Once down with that work you jump on a zoom call with the rest of the team to discuss the challenges and next steps with the PoC the team is building in this sprint. Throughout the day you monitor the product operations using DataDog.

Please note: this position is full time and in Berlin (you need to already be in Berlin too). We don’t use agencies.
Most messaging networks are created to serve their creators. Email is designed to serve humankind. For over 50 years inspired technicians have architected email to provide the greatest good to the greatest number. Their openness and design principles made email the world’s #1 communication channel and identity provider with 4.2 billion users (2x Facebook). Email is a critical foundation stone of the Web.
Lightmeter is reinventing email infrastructure to overcome threats from centralised tech oligharchs like Microsoft and Google. An epic platform war is behind fought behind the scenes to wrestle control over digital comms and incorporate it into closed service platforms, where the customer is a product to be sold to the highest bidder.
We are 3 years of research and 1 year of development in to building Lightmeter Control Center - the all-in-one mailops management system repeatedly featured in Heise and ZDnet. It’s fully Open Source (on GitLab) – feel free to check the unit and user acceptance test code coverage : ) . Our engineering team has a background in embedded and fintech, with a focus on performance and feedback.
A mix of public and private funding fuels our work, and we’ve been recognised by the European Commission as part of ‘Next Generation Internet’. We have hundreds of active users, a few of whom we interview each week, including banks, public universities, Internet Service Providers, and marketing agencies.
Our mission is to strengthen the foundations of digital society by making mailtech easy and convenient.
That’s a brief intro to what you’ll be working on. But first, you need to know if you’ll even like working with us. Let’s talk about life at Lightmeter and then we’ll go into detail about what we’re looking for.
Who you’ll be working with
One luxuary of being an early-stage team is that you get to work directly with everyone. That said, you’ll be reporting to Sam, our CEO. He gets easily excited about engineering patterns and workflows, and likes bright colours and house music with vocals.
You’d work along-side Lead Developer Leandro, who calls himself a Software Craftsman, and who others call a philosopher. Leandro has deeply held unfashionable beliefs like “all code should be fast and light”, and cares more about design patterns than what language he’s coding in. He love the outdoors and pines for the mountains.
Suela is our Product Manager and x-ray seer of quality and value. She has a nack of turning our telescopes around, pointing out better perspectives, opportunities, and efficiencies. She’s an Open Source fangirl, community organiser of the OpenLabs Hackerspace, and secretly learning Python so she can make bots to replace herself. Just kidding!
How You’ll Work at Lightmeter
We work hard to make working here a great experience, and have a team of truly exceptional people — the kind you’ll be excited to work with. You’ll get to design and create new components and services, working on features like those on our roadmap (https://lightmeter.io/roadmap).
Here’s how we operate
No Crazy Hours
You’ll very rarely work more than 40 hours per week, unless you really want to. Ocassionally things can heat up, but noones going to force you to work more than is comfortable. When you do work overtime you balance it out with time off afterwards. We work hard and smart, planning carefully, but we’re in this for the long haul: sustainability trumps anything short term.
Face time and alone time
Most of us have worked fully remote before and miss the benefits of face time, so we like to work together a lot of the time. However focused time alone, in cafes or home-office is nice too, so we aim for a good mix. So long as you can reach the people you need, when you need them, and vice versa, your preferences for office vs remote work shouldn’t be an issue.
A small team means it’s easy to coordinate time off to relax and recharge. Notice you’ll be away a week in advance is usually enough.
Up Your Game
We’re serious about helping you improve your craft. Everyone wins when you get better and your job, and enjoy the process. Think conferences, online courses and subscriptions, dedicated time away from work to learn something new.
Compensation and Legal
We can’t currently offer you a salary to compete with Amazon or Microsoft. What we can offer you is the same salary that we are paying ourselves: €50,000 / year.
We’re an early-stage startup, funded, pre-revenue, and growing. We are owned and managed by our Founders. Making sustainable, profitable products with a committment to openness is hard; we’re demonstrating how it’s done. If you care deeply about digital freedom, empowerment, and collaboration, you’ll probably fit right in!
What we’re looking for
Lightmeter has ambitious goals and our team is growing to meet them. You’re the Software Engineer we’re looking for if you’re collaborative, mission-motivated, creative, disciplined, and productive. (So far, so good?)
You love solving complex problems — both internally and for your users — and know what it means to build a mature, evolving product. You are more focused on the outcome than on the output of your work, and prefer to deliver something useful sooner, rather than something perfect later. You welcome feedback, and are curious about users’ challenges and how to address them. You demand a lot from your colleagues and expect the same in return, taking personal pride in collective achievement.
Requirements (these are real, actual requirements)

About the role,
Lana’s engineering team is still young (15 - 20 engineers) but it is growing very fast and needs to have clear architectural guidelines to make sure that all pieces work together.
We are still at a very early stage as a company, so all our positions are hands-on positions, and we expect from all team members to contribute to agile product delivery.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer Lead that is willing to take the challenge of bringing Lana’s architecture to the next level while supporting/coaching his peers (engineers, product managers…) to understand it so they can make decisions that are more in line with the architecture, and with the business needs.
This is a hands-on role so you will also be assigned to a team and will have to develop critical services enforcing our architecture guidelines.
As we mentioned we are quite early-stage company, so it’s a great opportunity to make your mark from the very beginning. Your decisions will affect how the company moves in the future.
We’re looking for a talented and experienced engineer with a proven track record on implementing / managing complex distributed architectures in startups / scale-ups.
You would enjoy this if you have:

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our TechOps squad at Monzo.
Our TechOps squad is primarily responsible for making sure everyone at Monzo has all of the tools they need to do a great job. That means managing all of our devices (predominantly running Mac and Chrome OS), managing our G-Suite domains, providing 1:1 support to Monzonauts across the business, and much much more.
A big contributor to the success TechOps have had to date is the way we’ve embedded engineers in the squad, meaning we’ve been able to automate away a lot of the manual work traditionally associated with a TechOps squad.
This has allowed us to move quickly, achieve an incredible ratio of TechOps people to total employees, and reap the benefits of being able to hire people all across the world without friction.
You’ll help us solve problems such as:
You’ll be a backend engineer in the squad. Some of the projects you’ll be involved in might include:
You’ll work closely with TechOps generalists and engineers from around the business to tackle some of the challenges mentioned above, working at the intersection between Security, People and TechOps to make sure we’re moving forwards together.
Security, scalability and how we continue to support the services you’re building should always be front of mind.
You’ll also have the opportunity to coach and mentor others in the squad on engineering best practices. We want to empower everyone in the squad to automate away the low-value manual work, and you’ll be key to unlocking this potential alongside other engineers in the squad.
At Monzo we’re aiming to build the best current account in the world. We are always keen to hear from capable, creative engineers who want to help us accomplish that goal 🚀
Our backend engineers have a variety of different backgrounds
We have several non-graduates; only some of us studied Computer Science; one of the team has a degree in Marketing; some of us have worked in huge companies; some have only ever worked in startups; others are former consultants. As long as you enjoy learning new things, we’d love to talk to you. We do not ask for formal qualifications or degree requirements for any of our engineering roles.
We are actively creating an equitable environment for all of our engineers to thrive
Diversity and inclusion are a priority for us and we are making sure we have lots of support for all of our people to grow at Monzo. We provide a sponsorship framework in Engineering for women and people of colour; all of our leaders are trained on privilege awareness and we are creating partnerships with organisations dedicated to supporting underrepresented groups. You can read more in our 2020 Diversity and Inclusion report.
We encourage an open and transparent working environment
You can get involved in any aspect of the business you are interested in and, following Stripe’s example, all emails in the company are visible in an email archive. We contribute to open source software as much as possible. Our blog is a good place to learn even more about what we do!
Monzo works in project-based sprints in small, interdisciplinary teams
We have around 150 engineers out of roughly 1,400 people in total - and we have big ambitions. There are many interesting challenges ahead, and we’re happy for people to move between teams or to specialise, whatever you prefer. As an engineer here you’d be able to work directly with anyone across the company, and we run regular knowledge-sharing sessions so you’ll learn heaps about everything from how banks work to effective communication.
At Monzo you will get to work with a lot of exciting new technology.
We rely heavily on the following tools and technologies:
Our product squads are truly cross-functional.
This role is all about collaborating across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers. As a product backend engineer you’ll work in a squad alongside product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, writers and more!
Salary is around £69,000 - £116,000 plus stock options and other benefits.
We can help you relocate to London & we can sponsor visas.
This role can be based in our London office, but we’re open to distributed working (with ad hoc meetings in London once COVID is over).
We have payroll set up in three countries: the UK, Ireland, and France. Right now, we can only hire people who work from those countries and we’ll keep this updated with new ones as we expand and are able to hire from more places 🌎
We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
Diversity and inclusion is a priority for us – if we want to solve problems for people around the world, our team has to represent our customers. So we need to attract the best talent and create an environment that supports and includes them. You can read more about diversity and inclusion on our blog.
If you prefer to work part-time, we’ll make this happen whenever we can - whether this is to help you meet other commitments or strike a great work-life balance.
Our interview process is normally a phone interview, a coding task and call to discuss it, and 2-3 hours of onsite interviews that can be conducted via hangouts as well. We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions. We might design a system together on a whiteboard, the same way we often work together, but we won’t make you write code on one.
Equal Opportunity Statement
At Monzo, embracing diversity in all of its forms and fostering an inclusive environment for all people to do the best work of their lives with us. This is integral to our mission of making money work for everyone.
We’re an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity status or disability status.
Excited about the idea of working on distributed systems at scale? Want to be writing Go everyday? With great people? We’re looking for curious problem solvers to do just that.
At Geckoboard, we’re working to help teams achieve their goals by enabling a fresh way of working. This revolves around making sure that important data gets seen and acted upon. That’s where our dashboards come in. Geckoboard is straightforward dashboard software that makes it quick and easy to surface live business data, metrics and KPIs for teams.
We’re all here to build something great. You’ll be joining a growing team of empowered engineers in a supportive environment that values experimentation, work-life balance and personal development. We’ve built a culture of knowledge sharing and feedback, so you’ll be involved in planning and prioritisation of work as well as peer reviews and pair programming.
Learning is also a big part of our engineering culture. About once every fortnight you’re able to take a whole day — an Innovation Day — to work on projects that interest you, learn new skills or contribute to open source… whatever it may be! We encourage these projects and often they have led to improvements in the way we work or concepts that have then been prioritised, developed further and added to our Product.
We work in small and focused cross-functional teams, usually made up of a Product Manager, a Designer, and a mix of Frontend and Backend Engineers. QA and Infrastructure tend to come in at the points they’re needed or for specific projects. We scope out our project such that we’re able to deliver meaningful work but small enough to iterate and take on board feedback quickly. We encourage our engineers to get involved in different teams and projects based on their interests, skills and opportunities to learn. We’re also equally mindful about technical debt and make sure we dedicate time to addressing it.
**Our product teams each own a different part of the product, building features that improve Geckoboard for our customers. Some of our recent work has ranged from a new send-to-Slack feature, SSO and in the team you’ll be joining initially, we’ve been building a brand new internal framework for importing, storing, and analysing data from third-party APIs we integrate with. We know that investing in our Data Platform is the best way we can deliver flexible, high-quality integrations quickly and easily. The new framework takes care of managing and scheduling imports, responding to webhooks, receiving analytics queries, migrating data from one version to the next and allows us to build internal gRPC services using a common protobuf interface upon it.
**We believe that we can only be successful as an Engineering team if we are constantly and systematically investing in our tooling, our common systems, and our developer experience, this is where our Platform team comes in. Our recent work has ranged from rapid response work to improving test and trace coverage, migrating existing services to Go modules and support for other teams. We’re also working on enabling older RESTful services to be migrated onto gRPC with a GraphQL API gateway in front.
What we’ve described sounds interesting
You’re interested in distributed systems
You’ve worked with Go before*
You want to build a product that delights its users and genuinely serves their needs
You’re collaborative; you empathise, listen and discuss
You actively seek out feedback in your work and to ensure you understand the problem you’re solving
We know that there are great candidates who may not exactly fit into what we’ve described above, or who have important skills we haven’t thought of. If that’s you or you’re not sure, please apply, we’d love to hear from you.
While most of our team are normally based in our leafy East London office, a lot of us work remotely at least a day or two during the week. This means we’ve always been intentional about making sure our ways-of-working are remote-friendly so we can support that flexibility for everyone. We also have fully remote team members, though the expectation is that you’re comfortable with a visit to the London office about once a quarter (except during pandemics).
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our office remains closed and everyone on the team is working from home presently. We’re likely to continue working from home over the Winter. We keep a close eye on the government guidance, regularly update the team, and plan to open our office only when it’s safe to do so again.
Some of our team have shorter working weeks and we’re more than happy to try to accommodate this or another arrangement whenever possible. Just let us know what works best for you or that you’d like to chat about it in your application.
At this time, we’re only considering candidates who are (or will be) based in the United Kingdom (regardless of whether you’re onsite when out offices reopen or fully remote). Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
The whole process takes about 2-3 weeks end to end, but we’re flexible!
Do you want to join our team as our new Backend Go Software Engineer? We’d love to hear about you!

Level (https://level.io) is an exciting startup that will soon be entering the remote monitoring and management space. We’re fans of the “Lean Startup” methodology and after many customer conversations, we’re almost ready to launch our MVP. We feel like this space is stale with older products that offer a poor user experience. Our product features a simple interface and exciting technology that none of our competitors are utilizing.
We’re backed by the founders of a very successful Managed Service Provider (MSP). They have extensive experience in the IT space and have proven invaluable in helping us validate that we are building the correct thing.
$110,000 - $115,000
Level is building a modern remote management and monitoring solution. We are a small team that is well funded and close to launching to our early access customers. We are searching for a strong, multi-talented individual contributor who is comfortable with systems-level programming and networking who can contribute to our agent, written in Go.
We are a startup headquartered in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC. We are a small, close-knit team working to upend the RMM market with a new product. Our CEO and leadership team have done extensive product research and are focusing on traction channels to grow while the product is being built. Though we are a startup, our investors have given us a multi-year runway.
We have already made substantial progress towards an MVP. We need someone to come in and help finish our Go agent who is an experienced self-starter that can make an impact on our product development. We aren’t interested in someone that just wants to work down a list of pre-defined tasks. Our ideal candidate loves working on products and will help shape the direction of ours. We hope to launch within the next couple of months and want someone to come on this journey with us.
We really like the Basecamp philosophy and try to make sure that it doesn’t have to be crazy at work. We won’t ask that you work weekends, or late into the night. We don’t mind if you need to leave for an appointment in the middle of the day. We understand that software development doesn’t happen for 8 hours straight and don’t worry about counting time in the chair. We trust that given a fair timeline with a scope that you help us determine you will be able to deliver features. We are concerned with the end goal, not micromanaging you on the way there.
We’re looking for someone great, but are an early-stage startup. We are offering a rate of $110-$115k plus (eventually) profit sharing. We know you could make more elsewhere, but this is an opportunity to jump onto a startup that has the chance to grow quickly in revenue where our profit sharing will ensure you are compensated for the value you bring.
