What we need
We’re looking for a dedicated, passionate, innovative, and security-oriented Backend Web Developer to work on bringing PowerSpike’s databases and API’s to life. Reporting directly to the head of development, you will be responsible for building bug-free data solutions which will deliver information to influencers, brands and advertisers to help them make critical marketing decisions for their spends. We are currently looking for a Back-End (Golang) Engineer to work alongside a very exciting client of ours. They are disrupting the global digital marketplace for assets enveloped in company shells.
The role will entail being the back bone of the tech team and it is a unique opportunity to be part of a product with significant market fit as it scales exponentially.
About You
You are huge fan of clean design thinking & architecting, as well as a good communicator with the ability to learn and adapt.
Commercial experience with Golang and Java, along with an understanding of other programming languages such as ES6 & Python.
You will be well versed with database technologies like SQL, noSQL, key-value stores (e.g. mySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis…)
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies such as Google Cloud or AWS & experience with CI/CD
Familiar with unit testing, integration testing, or similar testing frameworks

The Role: We’re looking for a senior-level Backend Engineer who wants to develop event-driven, cloud architecture microservices in Go and who has existing production experience in Go. Our systems are deployed via GitHub Actions, containerized and deployed into AWS managed Kubernetes. Other elements of our architecture are Kafka, Postgres, and Redis. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, accountable, owns the problem, has a knack for creative problem-solving, and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s core development team to develop and build new features for our backend systems. You will work directly with a team of talented engineers and product leaders.
