About the Role

We're looking for someone with experience architecting, writing, testing and shipping production-quality code in Go, with a background in Ethereum development. You are rigourous and have a refined eye for simple arhitecture and clean code, and you are able to balance tradeoffs inherent in all design decisions.

You enjoy building scalable, fault-tolerant systems. You understand the meaning of value and delivering products that achieve business outcomes while laying the foundation of great tech that affects our entire org, and is impactful. This matters to you.

As a senior engineer, you have a deep understanding of designing robust, well-designed code with thoughtful architecture. You can drive and self-direct major areas of our stack. While not a strict requirement, you are comfortable working with and guiding more intermediate and junior engineers when needed.

Responsibilities:

-Architect, develop, and implement the infrastructure, and infrastructure stack of Skyweaver and Sequence -Design and implement services that are scalable, and fault-tolerant -Build services that interface with the Ethereum blockchain -Contribute to open source works in the Sequence stack -Extend and evolve our toolchain, to run our stack effectively -Design architectural foundations that are robust and sound, so that future engineers can build on your work with ease and speed

Requirements:

-5+ years shipping production-grade code in Go -Experience and knowledge of the Ethereum blockchain, its tooling and ecosystem -Knowledge of distributed systems design -Experience with data systems, both in their design and practical use -Experience with one of the major cloud providers, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. -Growth mindset. What You’ll Do:

• You will produce a work output by taking a complex user story, breaking it down into sub-tasks, and completing the sub-tasks with relative ease – own design, coding, testing all the way through deployment of each of those sub-tasks.
• You will identify and proactively tackle technical debt before it grows into something that requires significant up-front work to resolve. A rule of thumb is to start looking into root cause of issues whenever there is noise. There is no smoke without fire.
• You will strike the right balance between fixing the problem at hand and focusing on finding the root cause of problem. For example, if it’s a production issue the priority is to fix the immediate problem and collect all the data necessary for root cause analysis. In a non-production environment, the focus should be on finding the root cause and fixing it the right way to make sure the problem doesn’t occur again.
• You will be actively involved with and mentor junior engineers doing code reviews resulting in up leveling the skill sets for the entire team

We are looking for engineers with deep interest in distributed systems and exchange technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES Help develop software for our current Tendermint-based relay network system. Work on production deployment/distributable version of node software. Help architect custom decentralized order-relay implementation (based on existing specification) Develop a custom decentralized order book implementation based on our current system. Adapt existing Node.js Tendermint state machine to Golang (prefered) or C++ Write developer-facing documentation.

REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of software development experience. 1+ years of experience with consensus-based systems (Tendermint prefered). 2+ years of experience with distributed/shared database systems. 2+ years of Asynchronous programming experience (Golang/C++/Rust). Proficiency in Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript. Linux VM experience (potential transition to containerized deployment). Ability to adapt to our rapidly evolving tech stack. Passion for Paradigm’s vision and goal.

The Role

The Deployment Infrastructure team's goal is to accelerate the end-to-end engineering lifecycle at Palantir by building tools and platforms that make it easier to create, deploy, and iterate on secure and highly available software. As a Software Engineer on the Deployment Infrastructure team, you will reimagine how our company builds and deploys software and how we use data to make decisions, then build the products and infrastructure to enable that new approach.

Core Responsibilities

*Build and maintain highly available systems responsible for service deployment & telemetry across hundreds of production environments. *Design and evolve software managing in-environment service discovery and configuration of microservices. *Architect and manage secure, scalable infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes to support our external and internal use cases. *Develop tools to enable other engineers such as CI/CD pipelines, container schedulers, and custom applications. *Debug complex issues and performance problems throughout the stack.
