Our solution builds upon most recent developments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Providing our customers in hospitality with an easy and effortless way to measure the food waste in their kitchen. Using a smart camera connected to a scale, we track food waste on a level of detail not seen before. Connecting it to external and internal sources such as buying, stocking and sales data we are able to provide targeted insights to help optimize.
We use a modern stack, working with Golang, Python, JavaScript and technologies such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. We believe in automation and making our own lives as easy as possible. Such that we can focus on what is important. For this we rely on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, serverless and cloud managed services using Google Cloud Platform, docker containers and Kubernetes.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our TechOps squad at Monzo.
Our TechOps squad is primarily responsible for making sure everyone at Monzo has all of the tools they need to do a great job. That means managing all of our devices (predominantly running Mac and Chrome OS), managing our G-Suite domains, providing 1:1 support to Monzonauts across the business, and much much more.
A big contributor to the success TechOps have had to date is the way we’ve embedded engineers in the squad, meaning we’ve been able to automate away a lot of the manual work traditionally associated with a TechOps squad.
This has allowed us to move quickly, achieve an incredible ratio of TechOps people to total employees, and reap the benefits of being able to hire people all across the world without friction.
You’ll help us solve problems such as:
How do we continue to offer outstanding service to all of our Monzonauts without exponentially increasing the number of people working in TechOps? What can we build to automate the work of 20 people?
What parts of traditional IT can we rethink with code to supercharge TechOps at Monzo?
How do we build a seamless, delightful experience for Monzonauts with best-in-class homegrown code and third party services?
The role
You’ll be a backend engineer in the squad. Some of the projects you’ll be involved in might include:
Integrating MDM (Mobile Device Management) and making this a function that integrates with everything else at Monzo, from inventory to access levels on your AWS account.
Building a seamless way to replicate groups, roles and other logical frameworks across first and third party applications to make authorisation for a Monzonaut a seamless experience.
Building on a system to track any and every Monzo-owned asset, from network switches to access passes and everything in between.
So much more - you’ll have the opportunity to influence our roadmap and build on the foundations already in place to continue scaling TechOps with Monzo
You’ll work closely with TechOps generalists and engineers from around the business to tackle some of the challenges mentioned above, working at the intersection between Security, People and TechOps to make sure we’re moving forwards together.
Security, scalability and how we continue to support the services you’re building should always be front of mind.
You’ll also have the opportunity to coach and mentor others in the squad on engineering best practices. We want to empower everyone in the squad to automate away the low-value manual work, and you’ll be key to unlocking this potential alongside other engineers in the squad.

Monzo works in project-based sprints in small, interdisciplinary teams
We have around 150 engineers out of roughly 1,400 people in total - and we have big ambitions. Third Light is hiring a Back End Engineer —a Go developer or someone who has been mixing Go into their work or personal projects and is readynow looking for a primarily Go-based role.

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our development team in Amsterdam. Job duties will include working on Stream's core API technology as well as designing and building high-performance software.
What you will be doing
Most of your day will be dedicated to software design, research, and coding. On typical projects, you will have a lot of freedom and you will be paired with another team member. Our team is made up of very experienced engineers, some with more than 10 years of experience. By working together you will learn from each other along the way. The role
As a Go backend engineer, you’ll work on our API servers and internal libraries that make the Vizzlo products come to live. Your code will talk to AWS storage infrastructure, to JavaScript frontends, and best of all, to lots of different third-party APIs of other products Vizzlo integrates with. You are passionate about idiomatic Go code but are not afraid to tackle obstacles from all kinds of points of view when necessary. You love to write reliable, scalable, and tested code.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in mid-sized teams
Verifiable Go knowledge
Proficiency in SQL
Comfort & prior experience in some of the following technologies of current SaaS stacks: AWS, MongoDB, Postgres, REST API, …
You worked on a SaaS product before? That’s a HUGE plus.

You've worked on front-and and back-end for at least 5 years.

You have extensive experience with DevOps and containers.
You have production experience with Go, React and/or GraphQL.

Our company
Saar aan Huis is a customer-oriented, private (informal) care organization that brings together the demand for support for the elderly at home with the range of service providers. The organization selects “Saars” with the utmost care and only works with motivated people who want to help the elderly with their daily activities with love and respect. This for an appropriate fee. The "Saars" are mainly resident in the work area of clients, have a care history behind them and want to be useful on a part-time basis.
Saar aan Huis is a franchise organization that started in the summer of 2013 and currently has 25 branches in the Netherlands. As an innovative healthcare organization for the elderly in particular, we have the ambition to grow further. We are therefore looking for a candidate who can raise our technical platform at the head office. You will be ultimately responsible for the development and management of the tech stack and, if proven suitable, can participate in the management of the company in the (short) term.
Your position
You are responsible for all technology used within Saar aan Huis. This technology is largely supplied by third parties and therefore vendor management and maintaining the technological blueprint are important. Together with the director you determine whether new applications need to be built internally or by third parties. Help Saar aan Huis to further transform into a "full-stack company".
Your duties
· Take the lead in the design, construction and management of new applications
· Affinity with user experience, design & service, design thinking
· Shaping and expanding data strategy
· Ensure 100% availability of existing systems
· Translate new requirements into changes to the system
· Forming the 2nd line support at the help desk
· Monitoring the quality with regard to security & usability
· The technical improvement and maintenance of the Saar aan Huis intranet
