About The Role

We are building out our founding Engineering team. Senior Full-stack Engineers have the opportunity to work across the stack, front to back. You’ll take ideas from inception to reality by rapidly building prototypes, iterating, and releasing them. You’ll build scalable products that make the people analytics experience for People leaders and organizations more insightful and more efficient.

Overall you will:

  • Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code
  • Lead large projects from initial inception to production
  • Collaborate with leadership and with peers across engineering, design, product, and go-to-market
  • Build beautiful, scalable solutions to make the people Analytics experience for CPOs, people leaders, and entire organizations 100x more efficient

Within your first week, you will:

  • Onboard and learn more about the company’s mission, culture, and values. You’ll write a user manual and a Professional Development Plan outlining exactly how you want to grow professionally over the next 1-2 years.
  • Understand Knoetic's tech infrastructure in-depth. We will pair you up with a peer to help you get up to speed.
  • Deploy your first Pull Request to production

Within your first month, you will:

  • Participate in road mapping and architecture discussions
  • Pair program with talented, ambitious engineers within a highly-collaborative team
  • Collaborate with the team which includes our product manager and product designer to deliver a low/medium-sized project

At three months, you'll be fully ramped! You will:

  • Lead a complex project from inception to deployment that will immediately provide value to our users
  • Identify, evaluate, and define improvements to the existing infrastructure and product

What we’re looking for

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of experience building modern web applications using Javascript frameworks like ReactJS or similar, and with backend programming languages like NodeJS, Python, or similar
  • Demonstrated comfort building applications using our backend tech stack (Go, AWS, Kubernetes, SQL, NodeJS)
  • You pride yourself on being able to identify and address issues before they become problems, and are skilled at finding signals in the noise

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role, adjusted for level, is between $140,000 - $190,000 in New York City. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including level, skillset, experience, job scope, location, and current market data. This range is not inclusive of our competitive equity package.

The role

You will be responsible for designing and building high quality and customer centric solutions within our platform team. You will work with Senior Product Managers, Technical Leads, UX Designers, QAs, and a team of talented engineers to bring our vision for the platform enablement team to life. THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a Software Engineer with experience managing projects and leading development teams and is comfortable interacting with stakeholders and third party software vendors. Having the ability to develop customized strategies and adapt to each individual project is paramount to this position’s success.

This Software Engineer will deliver on-time, quality-driven code releases, strategize and manage multiple development projects, and provide direction on software design and the software development process. You will be responsible for writing clean, secure, reusable code while working closely with our internal team and offshore development team. This position is located in Calabasas, CA with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule. This is not a fully remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to build and maintain new features to achieve roadmap goals

  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

  • Partner with offshore development team to build innovative new features that operate at scale

  • Support debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated fluency in React (with Typescript) & Golang (Bonus points for Next.js)

  • Experience writing automated tests

  • Full range of technology layers from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript best practices)

  • Experience w/ AWS (S3, EC2, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, etc.)

  • Must have Unix/Linux web server knowledge and applied understanding (SSL certificates / DNS / email setup)

  • Experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience with managing CI/CD tooling

  • Git workflow (branching, merging, tagging, cherry picking)

  • Understanding of RESTful & GraphQL services and how to interact with them

  • Experienced with event-driven microservice architecture

  • Logging & Monitoring tools such as Rollbar, Sentry, Cloudwatch, Pingdom, etc. (bonus points for experience with tracing/observability tools)

  • Database design concepts and experience with SQL (primarily Postgres)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • May work in drastic temperature climates while on site at our events

  • Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during holiday, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events

About the role

As a senior software engineer, you will work closely with the CTO, be a critical part of our core team, and have a huge influence over the direction of the company. You will lead projects and work with cross functional teammates to design and implement systems like our API, notifications service, and authentication service while focusing on scalability and performance.   • You'll ship. You'll be working on the core product to engineer solutions across multiple modules including payments, messaging, and file-sharing. Whether it's fixing a bug or architecting a new feature, you'll move fast.

Job Description

The GoLang and/or Rust Developers is responsible for Design and implement software which is to be written in the Go and/or Rust programming language. · GoLang and/or Rust developer who is experienced with microservices development, rest api development, and knowledge on Even-driven architecture & Reactive Programming. · Interested in learning and writing Kernel Functions using eBPF and byte code using WebAssembly using GoLang or Rust. - minimum 1 year experience is enough for this, not mandatory required skill. · Exposure to git versioning and devops culture is a plus. · Continuous learning nature is mandatory. · Kubernetes exposure or experience is a plus. · Opensource development and/or contribution experience is a plus. · Writing blogs and documentation is very important & mandatory job role to adopt, especially using Markdown.

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field. · Minimum 6 months to 2 years of experience in IT environment but we encourage interns too
