Day to day, you will…

  • Work to support new and existing blockchain networks on our platform. This means dockerizing, YAML templating, and otherwise writing code that facilitates different networks running on our Kubernetes based platform every day
  • Research complex topics around specific blockchain networks including consensus algorithms, economic models, and node/network topology.
  • Interact and collaborate with other engineers and team members; we have a highly focused and collaborative team. Our team prioritizes creating a shared understanding of our systems/supported networks, and we are dedicated to supporting each other on a daily basis.
  • Contribute to blockchain network support discussions. We are looking for a strong technical leader that can help drive and own support for multiple networks.
  • Participate in the overall blockchain network community. Join third party discussions and become a contributor to the development of new and existing networks.
  • Build services and infrastructure that help to automate the deployment of blockchain network infrastructure
  • Incorporate monitoring, alerting, and observability to support blockchain networks that allow us to maintain the highest standards of health, reliability and uptime.
  • Write integration tests and contribute to maintaining a healthy CI/CD pipeline.

We're looking for...

  • Experience developing distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs (including using them as integration points with third-party applications) in a variety of programming languages.
  • Experience using one of the public cloud providers (AWS, GCP or Azure) with CI/CD pipelines (Travis/CircleCI) to build, test and deploy.
  • Willingness to mentor junior members of the team.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Python, Docker, feature flags, and BDD.

What you will be doing…

  • Feature implementation through both individual contributions and providing guidance in terms of organization, process and design.
  • Our team uses Go, Node.js, and/or Vue.js.
  • We collaborate closely with architects, UX, and DevOps to ensure our systems are highly available, scalable, performant, and deliver an amazing user experience.
  • We use the scrum framework.
  • Learning and working with cryptography and security concepts, including PKI and TLS/SSL agreement protocols, authentication, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, and related concepts. Bonus points if you have experience with these already.
  • Implementing services for CA operations and PKI management including certificate exchange protocols such as SCEP or EST and revocation. Bonus points if you have experience with these already.
  • Shape the future of our Identity Management services roadmap by participating in planning/scoping conversations with product managers.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role is $140,000-$180,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. Build Kalido’s back end

  • Collaborate with management, design, and platform-specific development teams to define, design, and build new functionality as required
  • Design, build and refactor our architecture as we evolve, with maintainability and efficient abstraction in mind
  • Verify, test and deploy new builds
  • Inspire and lead other developers, ensuring their growth

Who we are looking for.

  • You have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • You care deeply about engineering culture and the quality of products you and your team build.

  • If you have made open source contributions to a project in any language (even English!) that’s a plus.

A bit about the role.

As part of the engineering team, you will report into our Head of Engineering. You will also work closely with the Product, Marketing and Customer Love Teams to help solve problems.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to the architecture and development direction of the team to ensure quality code is written and excellent products are build
  • Work across the stack (Ruby on Rails, Elm, React JS, PostgreSQL) to deliver quality, maintainable code.
  • Collaborate and learn with other team members via pair programming, mentoring, code reviews, and technical talks.
  • Learn about and champion best practices in code, architecture & processes.

A bit about you.

  • Degree in Computer Science BSc or a BSc in a related field, or experience in lieu of this

At Onefootball, you will be working in agile, cross functional and self-organized teams to deliver the ultimate product experience for football fans. Our main systems consists of micro service architecture with golang applications serving iOS, Android and Web clients. Your role

  • Write code that your co-workers appreciate for its readability and elegance,

MaxMind (www.maxmind.com) is looking for a talented and highly motivated person to help us improve our minFraud risk score. minFraud is used to screen over 2 billion online transactions a year, the majority of those being e-commerce.

This is a full time remote position, and we welcome candidates to apply from anywhere in Canada. You must be eligible/authorized to work in Canada.

The Position Overview

Our risk scoring is based on heuristics and machine learning. Your role would be to improve the heuristics as well as feature engineering for machine learning. There are also opportunities to improve the tools that support these processes.

Our fraud analyst team reviews fraud and not fraud reports from customers and suggests improvements. Your role is to test and implement those ideas. Potential changes are back-tested against overall fraud and not-fraud reports from customers. This work is meaningful since even a small improvement can help customers reduce fraud significantly given our scale.

This position is ideal for a software engineer with an interest or background in analytics or science. The role involves hypothesis generation, testing, and involves many challenges that are similar to nature to those in science.

Minimum Qualifications:

Our backend code is largely written in Go and Perl using PostgreSQL and Linux. We maintain high standards for our development practices. New backend code is expected to be written in Go, include automated tests run by TeamCity, and go through internal code review on GitHub Enterprise. The existing Perl code is being rewritten in Go.

We use free software as much as possible, and we release code back to the community when we can do so. We're always improving the way we do development, and we expect you to participate in that process.
