Visa is looking for Software Engineers who will help build Open VisaNet, Visa's Next generation payment processing platform developed on Open Systems, that would fuel growth in electronic payments globally and drive financial inclusion in many parts of the world. Open VisaNet, is the Next Generation VisaNet, will push the envelope of building highly scalable, secure, cost effective and distributed application on commodity hardware using best-in-class technology components. Open VisaNet is one of Visa's Key initiative that will help Visa support in-country processing solutions and provide Visa an opportunity to move away from Proprietary Mainframe type systems. Building Open VisaNet will involve collaboration with exceptional group of software engineers, security specialists, DevOps engineers, payment experts and infrastructure architects. Essential Functions: Design, implement and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed business components using functional programming paradigm. Work with Product Owner to determine functional requirements and business flow and translate into low level designs. Collaborate with the multiple teams across Product, Development, Operation & Infrastructure to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues. Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts. Support in triaging and troubleshooting of highly distributed services in release testing and production environment. Understand and own component security analysis, including code and data flow review. Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure coding techniques. Design and implement APIs, abstractions and integration patterns to solve challenging distributed computing problems. Ensure proper metrics instrumentation in software components, to help facilitate real time and remote troubleshooting/performance monitoring. Ensuring proper documentation and internal publishing of design tradeoffs, code best practices and lessons learned. Contribute to efficient development process pipeline by leveraging best-in-class CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) Preferred Qualifications: • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) • Knowledge of functional programming languages like GoLang (preferred), Scala, Erlang, Haskell, Clojure, or the ability to learn them quickly • Previous experience to work with Product Owner to determine functional requirements and business flow and translate into low level designs. • Exposure to Java based general purpose programming language and language development frameworks along with code optimization techniques are a huge plus. • Working familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle including version control, build process, testing, and code release • Previous experience with financial services or payments processing domain is a big plus • Experience with distributed database, distributed computing and high frequency transactions is a big plus • Effective verbal and written communication skills U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,400 to 142,000 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Job Description

Our mission is to give every person on the planet fast and affordable internet. We remove traditional internet infrastructure costs by developing technology which allows any device to be used as a cloud server. Using this tech, we will build a global distributed cloud platform. Flare’s first product is a peer-to-peer CDN, designed to be faster and cheaper than incumbents. We are looking for someone to help us tackle the scalability challenges around our product. You will help us design and build out our caching, messaging, and routing systems to work across millions of nodes. You will have significant input and control over the architecture of these systems, to help us ensure that they are scalable, reliable, and fast.

  • lead the implementation of our central API catalogue.

  • take responsibility for solving complex issues, and for the quality of the code produced

  • work in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure our software puts user needs first

  • build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environment

Build a code repository - Take an increasing amount of projects in house.

For Every ICO or Post-ICO You Work On

Architecting and developing smart contracts Managing smart contract and token sale page security audits Architecting and development of decentralized applications and platforms to implement tokens Scaling development team and writing weekly progress reports

Open Lines Of Communication - Work as the direct and first line of communication between client and MLG.

Help create schedules - Whenever schedules of all the deliverables are built, we will need to build gantt charts and other project management timelines in order to ensure everything is properly delivered on time.

Manage events - From time to time you will have the opportunity to take on events. In these cases you will be responsible for ensuring everything is done correctly for events. You will have the support of the executive team but autonomy is key.

Bi-Weekly Progress Reports - Draft and send bi-weekly progress reports showing the client what has been done and what they should expect. You can use already existing resources as a base for these documents.

Manage large teams - Projects will require you manage timelines that may require involvement from more than one division at a time.

Work with other partners - As we are a turn-key ICO and post-ICO services agency, we have strategic partners that we often work with for specific parts of the project.

Work with freelancers - MLG has many freelancers to turn to for urgent requests like banner creations, writers, designers, assistants, etc. You may have to work with some and should be comfortable delegating easy to replicate tasks.

Stay active in the crypto community - Head out to events to represent your clients and personally post news about clients in select groups, forums, etc.

Work With Other Team Members - Work with team in a decentralized manner via Slack.

We are looking for a motivated individual that knows about the blockchain world and understands how blockchain development works, where to find and how to work with existing open source software, and who has the ability to create and push best practices within the industry.

His/her job will have two main facets. First is related to post-ICOs, taking charge of helping develop the decentralized applications which are powered by the token. Second is related to ICOs, helping to develop the tokensale and crowdsale smart contracts and security audits.

What’s in this position?

Autoscaler team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to expand its rapidly growing team.

At autoscaler team, our day is usually full of challenges. Have you ever encountered the situation where you need to expand your cloud infrastructure, in order for certain workloads to be deployed, and once the demand is low, to cut back on your cloud spendings? Most of us probably did, or at least know the many paths that need to be taken in order to achieve that.

One of the team's responsibilities is to make sure that whenever a customer is about to deploy something the burden of making sure that things are running & not costing unnecessary money is uplifted from them. These are just couple small pieces of a bigger puzzle. To get into a more detailed perspective, try to answer the following questions:

  • What happens when the demand for resources decreases? What should we do?
  • What kind of instance types to use (spot vs on-demand)?
  • What to do when cloud provider claims all of the spot instances back? Can we predict that?
  • What is the most efficient way to handle all of the workloads while taking into account both cost & efficiency metrics?
  • What is the visibility of all of the decisions that our engine is taking to both our customers and us?

These are just several of the many questions that are part of the daily job when working in this team.

Being part of this team would involve design and decision-making end-to-end while collaborating with colleagues from other teams. CAST AI being a technical product, it is encouraged, not only to go and code something as written in the JIRA ticket but also to come up with new features & potential solutions to the problems that customers are facing.

  • GoLang is our main language, while Python is an accepted alternative for some of the cases.
  • Kubernetes which our product is evolving around.
  • AWS, GCP and Azure cloud providers, which are currently supported in our platform.
  • PostgreSQL and Cloud Object Storage for persistence.
  • NATS and Pub/Sub for messaging.
  • gRPC for internal communication.
  • REST for public APIs.
  • We use GitLab CI with ArgoCD as our GitOps CD engine.
  • Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and Tempo for observability.
