Required Qualifications:
5+ years experience in software engineering

Consistent track record implementing security solutions at the business unit level
Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix
Knowledge of Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, TACACS, ISPEC, SNMP, SYSLOG)
Capable of making production-grade design decisions prioritizing the ability of the system to scale
Proficiency in SQL and SQL-like databases
Preferred Qualifications

Your Mission
We have multiple openings for senior software engineers in our brand new London office. These are in a range of teams including fraud, platform, payments, shield, onboarding, and crypto-security. With over 40 engineers based in our Cape Town office, you’ll be joining a group of highly motivated experienced developers who you’ll work collaboratively with across our currency exchange, fraud, payments and compliance pods.
As a small company operating on a global scale, you’ll immediately see how your contributions directly impact both our internal users and client experience. We make decisions based on facts, not fiction. Many of the problems we’re solving result in genuinely trail blazing solutions which can’t be found on StackOverflow; so we’re looking for an experienced engineer that thrives on working in a complex domain.
We use Go, microservices architecture (gRPC) and AWS, but if you come from a Java, Python or other relevant language we’ll help you get up to speed with our comprehensive engineering onboarding program.
How we work
We succeed as a team. Our teams are split into pods, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of our product. Any engineer is able to deploy to production, and we deploy multiple times each day. Your pod will include a product owner, back end engineers, Android and iOS developers, and web developers who each bring a unique perspective to the problem you’re all solving.
A typical day
Join the pod’s daily standup to share progress and remove blockers
Collaborate with other engineers on the design of a new payment integration to launch to a new market
Write clean, well-tested code that directly affects users, the company and the Bitcoin ecosystem
Grab lunch with the company (we provide lunch Monday - Thursday)
Coach a team member by giving feedback on their pull-request

Gevulot is a generic decentralized prover network designed for deploying arbitrary provers as on-chain programs while maintaining performance similar to centralized provers. The vision of Gevulot is to make the creation of performant zk-based systems, such as validity rollups, as easy as deploying smart contracts.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to work closely with our Gevulot partners. Your goal in this position would be to make it more convenient for them to start and keep using the Gevulot network. We are looking for a person who has a wide range of expertise in different technologies/sectors to easily discover, propose, and execute the best solutions. You are comfortable working in CLI and have an excellent routine in thoroughly documenting solutions and instructions.

You will be responsible for designing and building out compelling and quality solutions for our Universal Data Graph (UDG) product. The role
You will be responsible for designing and building high quality and customer centric solutions within our platform team. You will work with Senior Product Managers, Technical Leads, UX Designers, QAs, and a team of talented engineers to bring our vision for the platform enablement team to life. Rialtic is looking for experienced backend developers to help us design, develop, and deliver reactive, serverless architectures capable of processing billions of transactions. This software engineer will be responsible for writing high quality software, primarily in Golang, that will operate on highly regulated data at very large scales.
Our products operate on highly regulated data that require extensive testing and exacting security controls. Our platform results must meet exceedingly high performance and quality from equally demanding clients. Consequently, we require industry certifications and continuing education. The person will work with a collaborative team of highly skilled, certified developers who have a track record of success and a proven ability to empower their colleagues.
The key responsibilities of the Senior Platform Engineer are:
Work with partners within the organization to develop reactive serverless architectures capable of processing billions of requests in a highly regulated environment
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, work processes, and regulatory and compliance needs
Supporting the development and roll-out of new processes and strategies for improving and sustaining exceptional quality levels while accelerating content development.
Participate in code reviews (PR’s)
Follows and improves the Rialtic software development Kanban life cycle
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Develop cost management strategies for containing and reducing infrastructure costs
Collaborate with product managers to find the fastest paths to customer value
Supports curating a collaborative team of highly skilled developers capable of empowering their teammates to deliver sophisticated solutions

OUR TECH STACK
As a serious, business-oriented company, we develop our solutions exclusively in COBOL.
Just kidding! We use modern and diverse IT infrastructure. Our solutions are web-based, with backends in Golang andPython and frontends in Typescript and React. Data storages include PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Amazon S3. The infrastructure consists of multiple backend services managed via Kubernetes/Helm, integrated with various AWS and third-party services. We also use Google Bazel, a secure and robust build system.

We are still small: Project Plato is less than 15 people in total but we are planning to grow to 20 soon. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
You have a math or computer science background. No diplomas needed, but knowing your graphs and big-Os is a must.
You know your way around web services. Parlez-vous HTTP? Veux-tu un cookie?
You know well at least TWO of: Golang, Python, C++, Java/C#, Typescript.
You are familiar with modern build systems (especially code generation), Unix-based operating systems, Docker/Kubernetes and cloud services.
You are a self-learner. You can analyze the code and documentation yourself, and you can ask questions when needed. Our team is small and focused, and we do not have spare time for thorough tutoring :(
You are passionate about quality and reliability. This is not a social media app startup, we deal with big money and strict regulations.
