JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for experienced software engineers, with strong backend experience in Cloud based environments excited for the challenge of working with a small team of front-end engineers. The position requires excellent problem solving and engineering skills when working with systems at scale. We are seeking individuals that are motivated to build cutting edge backends for products and manage the underlying infrastructure and deployment processes. The perfect candidate will be comfortable working closely with front-end engineers and can communicate effectively within a small team.

About This Role
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of products that help companies communicate with their customers in deep and personal ways. We service over 30,000 API requests per second and our SDK is installed on over 2 billion devices around the world. We are a small team <15 engineers and our technology stack is built in Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Python, running on Cassandra, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Kafka. We containerize and deploy with Kubernetes on AWS.
Success in this role requires:
-5 or more years software development experience, preferably for a B2B SaaS product and/or in a successful startup environment. -Expert level familiarity with Ruby or Scala. -Experience with a broad range of tools, frameworks, and libraries; including one or more of Big Data and Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Service--Oriented Architectures, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB), ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Distributed Computing. The Deployment Infrastructure team's goal is to accelerate the end-to-end engineering lifecycle at Palantir by building tools and platforms that make it easier to create, deploy, and iterate on secure and highly available software. What You’ll Do: The Huntress team is looking for a senior engineer who has experience writing software that interfaces with the Windows Operating System at a low level. This engineer will be responsible for developing applications that communicate from our customers’ Windows systems to our web portal to provide our threat operations team with critical threat-hunting information.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a full-time backend engineer. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building event driven microservices or service oriented architectures and has built most facets, if not all, in a "twelve-factor" app. Preference is for real experience (2+ years) in our primary language of Golang, but other languages are considered when able to quickly pick up new technologies. Additional experience in integrating with 3rd party systems, event-driven architecture, databases, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc) are important.
You will directly influence how and what to build, and must be comfortable collaborating on the architecture, code, product, etc as we have a strong culture of devops as well as being technically curious, thoughtful and purposeful in what we build. We value deploying frequently with well-written, maintainable, instrumented and tested code to a kubernetes cluster.
