THE ROLE
Insomniac Events is seeking a Software Engineer with experience managing projects and leading development teams and is comfortable interacting with stakeholders and third party software vendors. Having the ability to develop customized strategies and adapt to each individual project is paramount to this position’s success.
This Software Engineer will deliver on-time, quality-driven code releases, strategize and manage multiple development projects, and provide direction on software design and the software development process. You will be responsible for writing clean, secure, reusable code while working closely with our internal team and offshore development team. This position is located in Calabasas, CA with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule. This is not a fully remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience
Demonstrated fluency in React (with Typescript) & Golang (Bonus points for Next.js)
Experience writing automated tests
Full range of technology layers from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript best practices)
Experience w/ AWS (S3, EC2, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, etc.)
Must have Unix/Linux web server knowledge and applied understanding (SSL certificates / DNS / email setup)
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with managing CI/CD tooling
Git workflow (branching, merging, tagging, cherry picking)
Understanding of RESTful & GraphQL services and how to interact with them
Experienced with event-driven microservice architecture
Logging & Monitoring tools such as Rollbar, Sentry, Cloudwatch, Pingdom, etc. (bonus points for experience with tracing/observability tools)
Database design concepts and experience with SQL (primarily Postgres)
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population

As Software Engineer – Cloud Services at Anexia you will focus on the development and provision of secure services with a high level of availability in the Anexia Cloud ecosystem. You will make a decisive contribution to the work on our Kubernetes infrastructure, write the k8s operators forming the basis for our service, and help support the development of our Anexia Terraform plug-in. Your job is to help us build the tools that take the pain out of developing code in teams. Our lofty goal is to replace the venerable README file with a single command. Our day to day work practices are centered around GitHub, pull requests, code review, CI for testing, and agile development with Pivotal Tracker as our project management tool. We’re always looking to improve our practices and we expect you to help us to do so.
We’re a polyglot company and embrace using the best language for the given task at hand. You’ll regularly find Golang, Elm, Javascript, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, DCOS, CircleCI, and other modern tools. Quality is as important as speed. About the role

About The Role
We are building out our founding Engineering team. Senior Full-stack Engineers have the opportunity to work across the stack, front to back. You’ll take ideas from inception to reality by rapidly building prototypes, iterating, and releasing them. You’ll build scalable products that make the people analytics experience for People leaders and organizations more insightful and more efficient.

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role, adjusted for level, is between $140,000 - $190,000 in New York City. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including level, skillset, experience, job scope, location, and current market data. This range is not inclusive of our competitive equity package.
