As with many young companies, your responsibilities may evolve. Here are some of the things we expect you to take on as a DevOps Engineer:

  • End-to-end ownership of everything related to the infrastructure that keeps ChartMogul alive and running, including running daily operations of our infrastructure on AWS
  • Collaborate with the product engineering teams and the various service support teams in engineering (QA, AppSec, Data Engineering) in service of maintaining, building, and improving our underlying systems so that they are highly available, scalable and performant
  • Actively contribute to improving our systems and evolve our infrastructure: flawless CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, containers monitoring, automation with infrastructure as code, GitOps, reliability on AWS cloud
  • Join our constant efforts to meet and overcome standards for information security and compliance; ensuring our customer data is as safe as possible is our top priority
  • Proactively identify and validate areas of improvement as necessary by using the best tool available for a given case and constantly researching and evaluating industry trends that fit ChartMogul's needs

Our Tech Stack

We run a combination of Kubernetes clusters and a fleet of Linux machines for our Rails stack, along with multiple microservices backed up by PostgreSQL databases and a Redis datastore. Our legacy infrastructure is running on AWS EKS (Kubernetes and containers).

Professionally

  • 2 years of professional experience as a DevOps / SRE / Systems Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with high traffic production infrastructure

At Synergist, we've begun an ambitious project to to automate human negotiation.

We're building a foundation for algorithms to predict the best way for two people to reach agreement on legal contracts.. nothing like this hasn't been attempted before. 

We make human negotiations machine-readable, create big data sets of behavioural data and use open APIs to integrate with third-party platforms. If we do our job right, our users feel empowered to negotiate contracts and get sh*t done really quickly.

We're now looking for a a backend focused Go Engineer who is comfortable building complex, server-side business logic and contributing to our extensible architecture built on RESTful APIs. Our solution runs on a modern stack which is deployed via CI/CD on Redis and stored in Docker containers running on AWS.

What we are looking for:

Your role 🙋

  • Practical experience with Design Patterns, Design Principles, Software Architecture and Algorithms and automated tests (unit, integration and functional).
  • Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Extensive experience with:

  • Golang
  • Design Driven Development.
  • Hexagonal Architecture.
  • S.O.L.I.D principles.
  • Event-driven architecture.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases (You should be aware of normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index anatomy).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced software release environment.

  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.

About us

As a startup dedicated to public transport, our vision is to make buying tickets for passengers as easy as possible. Therefore, we are developing a ticketing system that automatically detects beginning and end of a journey. Based on the detection, it is possible to provide the passenger with the cheapest ticket.

The problems we are trying to solve are both interesting and challenging: developing a reliable ride detection algorithm based on data from smartphone sensors while creating a solution that attracts both passengers and public transport providers.

We value active collaboration and independent work. We believe that together we can build a great solution that will have a major impact on public transport.

Responsibilities

  • Independent development and improvement of route detection algorithm
  • Use of location and acceleration data delivered by the smartphone for route calculations
  • Application for mathematical and geographic tools for calculations
  • Test route detection algorithm
  • Team leading and team communication

Minimum qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of two ore more functional programming languages
  • In-depth expertise in software architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of test deployment (CI/CD)
  • Passion for backend development
  • Independent working

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Golang
  • Very good knowledge in REST-API Deployment
  • Comprehensive knowledge with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Redis cache
  • Interest to learn more programming languages as needed
