We have a need for a Software Developer to focus on building out new platform services. You will work on a team developing the next generation of core platform capabilities for Acronis, powering the transformation to a Cyber Protection Platform. Our team primarily develops new or generalizes existing applications relevant to core functionality to enable our wide range of applications and integrations.

For this position, we are looking for somebody who either has or is able to quickly demonstrate abilities with some or all of the following technologies:

Golang: all of our new service development is done in Golang.
PostgreSQL: we make heavy use of databases, and we use PostgreSQL primarily.- Kubernetes/Docker/CI Pipelines/MAKE/shell
Operating Systems and User-Machine Software: Acronis interacts heavily with client machines, experience with non-web-service software development, particularly user applications in Windows and Linux.
HTTP APIs: we need people who understand HTTP APIs from verbs to oauth to TLS, as well as familiarity with nginx, DNS and other key application-level technologies.
Python, C#, Java: this will get you bonus points or would be considered in place of Golang, in conjunction with existing basic fluency in Golang and strong skills in SQL and other key areas listed here.

Additional technologies which successful applicant should be able to quickly develop and display competency:

GraphQL: For schema aggregation and presentation usage.
WebSockets/gRPC: Event reactive frontend architectures.

We’re looking for SREs who are software engineers at heart - you’re as comfortable writing software to solve problems as you are operating AWS or Kubernetes. If you’re a software engineer who has some good cloud infrastructure experience already, or you’re eager to get really familiar with systems, tooling and libraries, this could be the role for you.

We’re also responsible for operating our three physical data centres, our network, and being on-call for the things we own and run.

*Senior Full-Stack Developer (f/m)*

You are an all-round talent as a senior full-stack developer. This includes tasks such as:

• Developing and enhancing sophisticated applications in a micro-service architecture
• Bringing in your experience with current frontend and backend technologies
• Solving complex Problems with efficient Algorithms
• Defining data models using current database technologies
• Actively participating in the development and deployment processes in the team
• Helping to shape Scrum and DevOps in the company

You have experience with the latest development technologies. You are/have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification and 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Highly motivated to work in a startup company and to experience and learn something new every day
• Several years of experience with agile working methods such as Scrum
• Experience in Angular (Typescript), SQL, GO and node.js (or other OO languages)
• Proven know-how in the development of continuous integration and automated testing
• Secure handling of different databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Profound German and English skills

As we have reached the scaleup phase at HousingAnywhere, our rapid growth has brought on new challenges. We are rethinking the platform architecture to meet imminent growth needs. At platform we are shaping the vision for the future architecture of HousingAnywhere. You will help other teams to build new features on top of our architecture, and make sure that concerns like reliability, security, privacy and performances are met.

Our mission as the platform team

As a Software Engineer for the Platform Team, you will be joining the team responsible for the backend logic of HousingAnywhere’s marketplace, and for standardizing the way our partners integrate with our platform.

Our team is here to provide HousingAnywhere with a scalable composable architecture that allows the organization to scale the business and teams on top of it.

We achieve our goals by:

• developing the technical vision and standards on the platform that accommodate the needs of the housing rental market for the next 10 years
• developing the standards for the exchange of information between systems in the accommodation rental market.

Let's work together on the following

• We are currently refactoring the monolith in context boundaries using Domain Driven Design techniques. Our goal is to come to an architecture that will allow us to break the monolith in microservices and break dependencies with the database.
• We are working on bootstrapping our journey to let partners integrate with our platform. We are defining and implementing the architecture that can integrate seamlessly the variegated technologies the industry uses.
• We are rethinking our approach to CI, and simplifying our suites of tests.
• We already extracted frontend as a service from the backend monolith, but the code still leaves in one repository. We want to gain independence by extracting backend code from frontend code and have separate deployment pipelines.
• We are working closely with the operations team to move our services to kubernetes. We are currently sending a small percentage of traffic to the cluster and are facing some performance issues. We are investigating possible next moves to fully work on the cluster.
• We are creating an internal RFC to plan how to move towards an event driven architecture by introducing Kafka. We are researching impacts, costs and value that we get by getting into such a path.
