Mid Backend Engineer (Golang - Remote)

About the role

We're on the lookout for an experienced, driven Go developer who is ready to be part of our exciting start-up journey. As a Golang developer, you will be a key member of the development team who develops and enhances Golang based products. You will work closely with the team to provide optimal solutions, as well as, design and develop production code that is of the highest quality. You will work with other developers equally capable of architecting, designing and delivering high standard performance applications and systems within realistic time and budgetary constraints. You will be responsible for helping guide others on your team through the lifecycle of a product

Position requirements:

• Professional experience with Golang
• Experience in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• 3+ years of backend programming experience using modern programming languages
• 5-7 years backend development experience
• Production experience with multiple GCP services: * Python or NodeJS * GKE (k8s and istio) * GCE * Pubsub * Bigquery * Firebase * Cloud functions * Cloud build * Stackdriver * Dataflow
• Production Experience in protobuf and gRPC
• Production Experience in building a Service Oriented Architecture
• Production Experience in building a Event Driven Architecture
• Production Experience in working with container technology (kubernetes, docker)
• English (professional proficiency)

Nice to have familiarity or experience with:

• nosql databases e.g Firestore
• Algolia Server-Side Search (knowledge on algolia sort, keyword and filter syntaxes)
• Interacting with GCP services e.g. Firebase , Cloud functions
