The Partner Engineering team are software engineers responsible for providing deep technical expertise to our strategic partners & customers to successfully develop and build with SpatialOS and our advanced probabilistic modelling products.
Partner Engineers at improbable are Software Engineers with deep knowledge of the core concepts of our faster-than-realtime simulation products, and help our industry partners to build specific products. A Partner Engineer in the Defence Unit helps design, deploy, and support solutions that are performant, scalable, and highly available wherever the end user requires.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll work within the software development team, supporting them on the early stages of a Greenfield project that involves advanced monitoring, machine learning and predictive analysis software for the financial services sector. Our UK office is relatively new, and so the ability to develop and be creative with new products is what makes this role unique. Your role will involve development, system administration, quality assurance and support. You will join the project from the outset and have an opportunity to significantly influence the project architecture. We are happy to consider candidates who may have previously worked within DevOps, Systems Administration, software development or automation testing environments with some exposure to relevant technologies. Verisart is currently upgrading is is seeking a hands on Senior Golang Engineer who can work with our technical stack as we migrate from a tightly coupled backend and front end to using React/Redux.
The successful candidate will have strong web app and RESTfull API experience and will be able to support our in-house development team and can start immediately. Knowledge of micro services is also helpful.
The role would involve setting up the API framework as well as any authentication (OAuth2.0) and validation middleware. Routes would then need to be implemented and integrated. Role would also involve supporting any extra code requirements of the development team inside the scope of the API project.
The work will be carried out as part of a small team, based in London (Mayfair). Competitive rates offered, as well as flexible working hours although the position is full time and on site and the successful candidate must be available at least 4 days per week at our office in London.
In general Verisart seeks engineers interested in applying cryptography at real world problems. Our problem lies within the art market as we address the problem of proving provenance for artworks and building evidence based certificates of authenticity. We recognize that cryptography is not a magic bullet. We want to use it intelligently to provide evidence where possible for people to interpret, like the web of trust. We’re looking for people who understand how to apply cryptography to problems. While understanding the mathematical backgrounds to cryptography is great, it’s not essential if you understand how the cryptographic primitives like hashing and message signing work together to solve real problems. We value passion and hard work when tackling challenges and above all else although an interest in arts and collectibles is helpful.
Skills & requirements Requirements
Computer science degree or similar (preferred but not necessary). Git. High level experience such as C++, Golang, Rust, Java, Python. Bitcoin experience is an asset.

Here's a brief look at what success looks like in this role:
In 3 months time- you'll have collaborated with the team to build and shipped a material contribution such as a new feature, regularly contributed to code reviews, and fixed a few bugs.
In 6 months time- you'll have earned the trust of the team and taken on independent code review responsibilities that help prevent bugs that are collaborating on the design of new features.
In 12 months time- you'll have delivered tasks throughout the SDLC, from design through development with some guidance and have established a cadence of on-time deliver with high quality work.
This role is also open to remote work (USA, UK, India) as our teams are globally distributed. We are a remote-first team.
