Job Description

We are looking for software engineers to continue developing and scaling our products and infrastructure.

The Project

Named by the World Economic Forum as one of the world's 30 Technology Pioneers 2016, Synthace is re-imagining how we work with biology, exponentially improving the speed and quality of the final results.

This is made possible through our revolutionary cloud based platform for designing biological experiments, simulating them, translating instructions for automated lab equipment, and visualising complex data sets from the results. All of this is done by Antha, which is already impacting how scientists work with biology in major companies like Dow, Merck and GSK.

Antha lowers the level of entry for scientists wanting to introduce automation to their work, while allowing specialist technicians to get even more out of the existing equipment in the labs. It is directly contributing to faster, more efficient research into hard to cure genetic diseases such as Cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain APIs and services
  • Integrate and deploy custom and off-the-shelf software components

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

  • Working knowledge of common network protocols (HTTP, TLS, GRPC)
  • Seriously well versed in any of the following programming languages: Go (ideally), Python, Java, C, and/or C++

The role We are bolstering our Security team, and we are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our SysE team. The role

You will be responsible for designing and building out compelling and quality solutions for our Universal Data Graph (UDG) product. You will work closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Engineers, QA experts, and UX Designers to shape and deliver high quality and high efficiency solutions for Universal Data Graph. The role

You will be responsible for designing and building high quality and customer centric solutions within our platform team. You will work with Senior Product Managers, Technical Leads, UX Designers, QAs, and a team of talented engineers to bring our vision for the platform enablement team to life. This role also will play a key part in our continuous improvement journey, building out high levels of pipeline automation, great unit testing, and ensuring we live up to our engineering policies, processes, and standards.

Our platform team looks after enabling capabilities which other product teams consume – for example, our Tyk Identify Broker, back end plugins, Tyk Sync, Tyk Pump, and our multi datacentre bridge

We’d love it if you had line management experience, and are keen to impart some of your knowledge in managing and growing junior engineers.

It’d be great if you had some line management experience, but this is not essential.

The role:

We are looking for a talented Senior Go Developer to help us scope, build, and maintain our Developer Portal. We’d love you to have experience with CMS frameworks, have a strong understanding and practical experience with TDD. You will be an expert-level Golang developer. If you understand or have worked with QoR frameworks, then this is a bonus!

You will be an experienced line manager and mentor, and comfortable with leading the way in terms of quality. You will also be an advocate of high levels of automation in our engineering process, pushing us to continuously improve our software delivery lifecycle every day.

You will be working on a cutting edge piece of our product strategy which will have high levels of exposure and kudos as it develops. Working with a talented team of Product Managers, Technical Leads, engineers, UX Designers, and QA experts, you will be a leader for this product team in shaping and delivering high quality product.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

  • Implementation of end to end functionalities on both the CMS side as well as on the public/website side.
  • Work closely with your technical lead to suggest innovations and new capabilities for your product area, building out POCs
  • Be a lead advocate for engineering quality – leading adherence to definition of done, improving unit test accuracy, improving test automation, and ensuring the amount of stories coming back from QA are minimised
  • Be a process improver – suggesting improvements on how we engineer – policies, process, tooling, standards – and working with your technical lead and our software engineering manager to embed this into our working practices
  • Lead and foster a DevOps mindset, always looking for ways to improve our CI/CD pipeline in conjunction with software engineering manager and DevOps resources

  • Full responsibility over code quality, performance, architecture and design choices

The role:

We are looking for a talented Go Developer with full stack experience to help us scope, build, and maintain our Developer Portal. We’d love you to have experience with CMS frameworks, have a working understanding and practical experience with TDD, and be a very competent Golang developer. If you understand or have worked with QoR frameworks, then this is a bonus!

We might ask you to manage and mentor a junior engineer. We’d also want you to be comfortable with obsessing over our code and process quality. The role

Dev Exp is a key element in Tyk’s growth. We are looking for a talented engineer to join our DX team and join a very exciting ride. We are in the process of creating new devtools and solutions to cater to our broad range of users and customers. Clearmatics is a protocol engineering company. We are building a new financial market architecture that is more open, fair, and resilient than the legacy systems that are in use today. The Engineering team at Clearmatics is responsible for developing our blockchain software at Layer 1 and Layer 2. At the core of our stack is the Autonity client, the node software that powers our blockchain network. It is based on Ethereum (go-ethereum) and is secured by Tendermint Proof-of-Stake consensus. Our decentralised platforms are built on smart contracts and decentralised applications, and are supported by backend services in Go.

We're looking to hire a Core Developer to expand our Layer 1 Engineering team.

ABOUT YOU

You're a systems programmer with good knowledge of Layer 1 protocols, and a passion for blockchain and decentralisation. You enjoy working to a high standard and writing code that is clean, performant, and maintainable. You appreciate the importance of careful design choices and can anticipate the impact of code changes on wider system behaviour. You can demonstrate a strong interest in blockchain and may even have open source contributions that you can highlight. You express yourself clearly in writing and in discussions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be involved at all stages of the development lifecycle for the Autonity protocol and its blockchain node client (a fork of go-ethereum). These include: - Implementing new protocol features in Go and Solidity - Developing new distributed systems tests and frameworks - Contributing to protocol and design specifications - Working with members of the community to resolve issues - Your work will ensure that Autonity client is correct, reliable, performant, and secure. This will enable Autonity to serve as the foundational layer for a new ecosystem of decentralised markets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in a low-level language like Go, Rust, or C++ (ideally 2+ years with Go)
  • Experience with network, concurrent, and distributed programming/debugging on Linux systems
  • Good knowledge of Ethereum protocols, BFT and dPoS consensus, P2P messaging, and crypto primitives
