Our solutions allow merchants to route dynamically a transaction to the best payment provider to optimise their conversion rate. Your main task will be to design and create or maintain micro-services within our infrastructure. Our product handles millions of transactions within a week. The API has its key part on it but the load is also on a multitude of other services.
You will work closely with our technical teams to learn about the possible technical bottle-necks. We have implemented different technologies such as Go (go-kit toolkit, gRPC…), Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL and many others. Your role would be to lead us to new technologies that our product can benefit from.
Our product handles financial data making uptime one of our key KPIs. We expect that you will be able to work on high-availability and technically challenging programs.
You will join a talented team of 10 engineers, Data Scientists and DevOps, that are tech-passionate, working closely with most of them. Our main goal is to ensure that we can contribute to your personal growth as an engineer.
Payments are often compared to a black-box. Merchants around the world have issues understanding how their performance is and what optimization can be done. Our team is focused on building the best payment performance tool there is. It allows merchants to better understand their online processes as well as offline payments.
We offer 2 products to our merchants:The first, named Telescope, allows us to analyse, understand and make recommendations to a merchant. It does not require any technical integration from them and works mainly through webhooks, pulling data from APIs or parsing exported files.

Visa is looking for Software Engineers who will help build Open VisaNet, Visa's Next generation payment processing platform developed on Open Systems, that would fuel growth in electronic payments globally and drive financial inclusion in many parts of the world. Open VisaNet, is the Next Generation VisaNet, will push the envelope of building highly scalable, secure, cost effective and distributed application on commodity hardware using best-in-class technology components. Building Open VisaNet will involve collaboration with exceptional group of software engineers, security specialists, DevOps engineers, payment experts and infrastructure architects. Essential Functions: Design, implement and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed business components using functional programming paradigm. Work with Product Owner to determine functional requirements and business flow and translate into low level designs. Collaborate with the multiple teams across Product, Development, Operation & Infrastructure to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues. Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts. Support in triaging and troubleshooting of highly distributed services in release testing and production environment. Basic Qualifications

The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be helping to drive our product and engineering department forward, working on different parts of the Paddle ecosystem and helping our Software Sellers sell their products on a platform they trust and rely on.
Our Engineering Department is split into 8 cross functional Product teams, along with an SRE and Data team.
Our Product teams are made up of an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager and between 4 - 8 engineers (mix of backend and frontend), depending on the demands of the team.

About the Enterprise Pipeline Team
Enterprise Pipeline, a core C2FO team, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the connectivity and ETL portions of C2FO’s products. With hundreds of thousands of businesses accelerating payments in the system, the enterprise pipeline is an important and growing piece of the system. We primarily work in Go but occasionally work with other languages and frameworks including TypeScript and React. OUR TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
Our Engineering Team consists of over sixty five Senior Software Developers that are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of our platform, from architecture through to infrastructure. Individually they are all exceptional at what they do, but by working collaboratively within a team, consistently applying best-practice and automating absolutely everything they are able to build world-class software for our customers.
We don’t mind whereabouts our Developers are based as we are happy for our team to work from anywhere in the UK or EU, with most of them choosing to work remotely most of the time. That being said, we do also have London and Amsterdam offices, so should they ever wish to work from these, they are most welcome.

THE SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Whilst experience of the above technologies would be nice, it is by no means essential. We are looking to speak with well-rounded, Senior Software Developers who have a breadth of experience across a variety of programming languages, have an understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing alongside an appreciation of automation and the DevOps culture. Candidates should also value the importance of code quality and software development best-practice, whilst being passionate about technology and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.
