We are looking for engineers with a focus on cloud-native backend development to join our growing tech team. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable services that allow Simprints to support projects all over the world
• Leverage modern software development practices, such as DevOps, microservices and “serverless”
• Actively develop junior engineers through mentoring and design/code reviews

Qualifications

• Professional experience building and operating backend services, with some experience in systems design
• Professional experience working with a major public cloud provider (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) using serverless or managed services (e.g. DynamoDB, BigQuery, any FaaS)
• Good understanding of software engineering basics such as (but not limited to) OOP, agile, REST, testing, SQL, NoSQL
• Commitment to lifelong learning. You eat new technologies for breakfast and stay up-to-date with recent trends (e.g. microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless)
• Ability to clearly communicate and document design decisions in both verbal and written form

What you will actually be doing / responsibilities

• Work in a team to solve challenging problems, integrating accommodation providers and building blazing-fast services that serve their data
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements in terms of performance and code quality
• Help improving our infrastructure and scale it to support our continuous growth in a cost-effective way

What can you expect at the beginning of this experience?

Requirements: Who we're looking for

• You are used to work and think outside of the box, and not afraid to present unconventional ideas and solutions.
• You have at least 6 years experience in back-end development using a modern set up and tooling
• You have a great understanding of APIs, databases, data structures, queues, and all things back-end, with a strong passion for automation
• You have worked on a production system that was exposed to significant scale (whether traffic or amount of data) and you are excited by these kinds of challenges

Compliance Solutions Strategies (CSS) is a global RegTech platform delivering a set of comprehensive and highly complementary technology-enabled regulatory solutions. Our clients are large global asset managers, hedge fund managers, life insurance companies and fund administrators.

The Software Developer will initially serve in a data services role, maintaining and owning an existing Go based stack of data parsers for two in-house software products, Sentry and COE (willingness and ability to immediately work with Go is a requirement, even if the language is new to the developer).
